Try changing to DOT4 brake oil. Read that it improves performance in 250R's thread.

Hello guyz...Done with my first service...had a 20km ride immediately after taking the delivery...OMG engine was smoother than ever...I read soo many saying that the CBR has the most refined engine and for the very first time I experienced that ...And the first service costed me 250rs (just for the engine oil change)....And remember my Accident? , the right fairing(got some scratches) that I hav ordered hasn't come yet and soo dint do any teflon coating, coming to my silencer cover(which has also got some scratches and even a small dent),initially i asked them for denting and painting which would cost me around 600rs and later they called me and informed me that one new silencer cover was available and it costs around 750(incl of vat & ST) so I told them to replace the silence cover with the new one.... Guys I find the spare parts of the baby soo cheap, are they really cheap? or am i the only one feeling like that as I never owned a bike before

i too had my 1st servicing done yesterday....and really..!!..engine is so smooth.....and sound is also better now.. ..it costed me 500rs...270 for engine oil and rest for tefflon coating.....

Guyz wat mileage are you getting on your bikes when maintained under 6k rpm?...

Testing the Limits!!!

As I said that my first servicing is over and now its time to test the limits of the bby cbr. So here it is :

Yesterday i took my baby on Greater Noida expressway to test the top whack of the bike. Along with me I had one of my friends who brought a p200ns. It was real fun driving both the beasts back to back on the expressway. Both have a character of their own and are unbeatable in their own respect.

We drove till the start of expressway at a constant speed of around 40-50 k and boy i must say the bike is really smooth even at 30 k in 6th gear. No lugging at all and it could pull out in the same gear to higher speeds easily. As we entered the expressway we decided to swipe our bikes and test them to the limits. I gt aboard the p200ns. I must say that bajaj have come a long way in making this product. It is light years ahead of the previous pulsars. I started the engine and took off. Boy oh boy the acceleration on this bike was amazing. I was in triple digits in no time on this machine. My friend came on my side and asked whether he could redline the bike or not. I said go ahead dude. It's through its first service. And he was off in a flash. As i was wearing a open face helmet the drag of air was creating a lot of problem. So i cudnt do above 110 k. Also the bike started to wobble at around 105 k for me. So i was losing confidence taking it over that. But still the p200 ns has come throgh as a great product. A thumbs up to it.

After a small stretch of around 5 km we decided to stop and took some snaps. Nw it was my turn to get on my baby. I started the engine and hit the first gear. The beast inside this baby was ready to let loose. And we hit the roads. I redlined the bike in every gear and boy the exhaust note was really song to my ears. I tugged onto the bike and in no time i ws doing 120 k. The windscreen was helping a lot in reducing the drag. it took some time to get from 120 - 135k but the stability that this bike had wanted me to go for more. But sadly at 140 k bike redlined and that was it. It was amazing hw this bike handled even at such speeds. The stability and the agility at these speeds were really amazing.

Under that situations you'll get a combined mileage of around 40-42 kmpl and if solely on highways, its around 45kmpl

Mates! I have removed the rear fender of the Baby blade and now, I like the look of the bike a lot. Posting the pics for your comments.
It was a lot tough job for me as I don't know which nut to remove. I ended up dismantling the whole tail assembly and re-fitted it again! My dad won't allow me to ride without the reflector., so fitted it vertically. Probably, 'll fit in the center of the license plate.

Did u photoshop the no plate or its a new one? And by the way do u clean ur bike daily? Its so clean..

My mileage is around 40 mostly. I still never redlined the bike but went past 8500rpm in first 3 gears today. The first gear is still rough to engage but the 2nd and 3rd gears engage like butter at 8.5k. I was 64kmph in 3rd gear

NO, no photoshop.. I just painted white colour on numbers using MS-Paint. It was the actual one provided by my dealer. I felt bad for having such a big license plate, but, now that proved useful. And about the cleaning part, thanks for the compliment, but inversely I don't even have the habit of wiping the sand-dust off my bike.., a closer look 'll reveal that.. maybe its cause of the ride in rains a couple of days back, it looks clean..
