Driving Baby Blade is fun, I think the high end torque is good for overtaking, I am cruising at 6-7k, I dnt need to shift before or while overtaking. It gallops after 8k. I have never had problem in traffic because of low end torque, I am anyways a calm rider in traffic. I am loving it.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
haha, for sure the new one can't match baby blade in looks, but it packs 2.5bhp n 1nm mre than the previous one. 0-60 in 3.6, faster than both r15 and cbr150. I will suggest you wait if you can for 6 months and then buy, I needed a bike urgently and baby blade met my requirements, and I am happy with it. But you'll have many more options in six months, EBR is a creative company and who knows wht that 250cc will pack. Also, faired pulsars.Originally posted by zma10 View Post

Although, one caveat, Baby Blade reaches 100 faster than every bike except common on Indian roads except 200NS, Duke200 and of course it's elder sibling, and but has slowest 0-60 than most bikes that costs above 80k. So if you are like me and like drags at the red light, make sure the road is long ahead or you'll be a little embarrassed. In a long race, you can challenge anyone, even R15, it is almost second quicker to 100 and stays ahead for speeds above that, and also has a slightly higher top speed, but of course you need to upshift baby blade at above 10k for drag. Also, if you learn how to shift without clutch, you'll have evn better odds.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Hmmm... True.. I experienced that in the test ride. But bro, shifting without disengaging the clutch, I would never do that. I used to do that on my old Suzuki Shogun and learnt it the hard way. But, since it was two stroke, the "repair" was relatively cheap.Originally posted by Akash Makkar View PostAlthough, on caveat, Baby Blade reaches 100 faster than every bike except common on Indian roads except 200NS, Duke200 and of course it's elder sibling, and but has slowest 0-100 than most bikes that costs above 80k. Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Actually, done properly it makes gear shifting much easier, but it has to be done at the proper rpm range. Downshifting is much harder than upshifting, I myself don't do it, but my research tells me that done properly it is the better and quicker way.Originally posted by zma10 View PostHmmm... True.. Sorry bro!., No idea here...
Have heard the same problem sometime back on this thread. Forgot who posted that.
Maybe, he should reply.
Did you tried googling??The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Frnds problem....
...there is a continous tak tak sound coming from my bike ....very low sound....only noticed when at some good speed say 50-60 kmph i leave my throttle and press clutch for bike to go on if some visible turn or obstacle or traffic is up at a distance. I can feel this fouling more through my legs than i can hear it. Continous tak tak vibration is felt through foot rest in my legs.... i thought it is chain but the frequency of sound is not high...say one per one second...i think at 50 kmph chain will have higher revolution frequency than this...so hence confused...help...should i go to svc?

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Well, a tak tak sound comes from the engine whenever I park my bike after driving it for a while, have had this sound in my previous bikes, Pulsar200 dtsi n Apache180, but never heard it while riding, maybe I never paid attention to it. Maybe some part is loose and is rattling, does it have a constant rhythm or it varies?Originally posted by Tarun Rai View PostFrnds problem....

Also, there was a spot in the paint at front of my bike which they said they'll sort out in the first service, gave it to me in written. Now, slight paint has chipped of from my tank, very small but I don't like that it should happen in such a costly bike, I will definitely complain. But what I want to know is whether the SVC guys are good at touching up, and does the touch up last? Is it noticeable that bike has been touched up?Last edited by Akash Makkar; 10-21-2013, 04:59 PM.

Tak tak sound after you turn the ignition off? If yes, thats common in all bikes, usually comes from near the exhaust.Originally posted by Akash Makkar View PostWell, a tak tak sound comes from the engine whenever I park my bike after driving it for a while, have had this sound in my previous bikes, Pulsar200 dtsi n Apache180, but never heard it while riding, maybe I never paid attention to it. Its normal.Originally posted by viks View PostTak tak sound after you turn the ignition off? If yes, thats common in all bikes, usually comes from near the exhaust.

I had EXACTLY this problem for around 2 weeks. I guessed it was either due to loose chain, dry chain or vibrating rear footpegs. Yes I could feel that vibration through the footpegs. but its gone after my service. In servicing they normally fix the chain slack+lubricate the chain and tighten all parts. So I don't know which of these was the reason,or maybe all of them.
@Other Guys who replied -> this is not the normal tik tak sound after you park your bike. Actually its not tik-tak to be precise. Its like something is rubbing on the chain at one point, thats why that uniform frequency. And it could only be heard (or felt) when i pressed and held the clutch at around 50kmph.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Then it certainly is loose chain. Adjusting slack would resolve it.Originally posted by Dhiman Jyoti Sarmah View PostAnd it could only be heard (or felt) when i pressed and held the clutch at around 50kmph.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
thanks dhiman for getting the problem spot on... the tik tik sound after parking is of catalytic converter cooling down..but what i face is something rubbing on the chain at one point as u said..Originally posted by Dhiman Jyoti Sarmah View PostI had EXACTLY this problem for around 2 weeks. but i don't think it is loose chain cause on 10th Oct, that is hardly 11 days before i got my first service done...and i specially asked them to tight up the chain cause it became loose after some 650-700 kms....at 750 kms i got my first service done...and within 10 days now i m 1050kms....if chain goes lose in another 300 kms....them i m in life long problem.....anyway...will go to svc and will get it rechecked.
