After 6 rom? Mine does that after 8. Also, how much were you charged for the first service? They took 390 frm me for chain lubrication, which is crazy, I didn't fight because my front cowl and tank needs to be changed because of faults in paint.

But now I have complained to Honda and they have responded, I am going to bring a world of trouble to these SVC guys. It's Venetian Honda in Mumbai btw, the head guy initially told me that they will use 2 lts of engine oil, after lots of sweet talk, was trying to swindle every penny out of me, I objected to that, then I talked to the head mechanic, he said one litre only will be used, used Honda throttle, 510 per litre. I am also calling the managers of Venetian Honda, got the no. of one who gave me the no. of another who didn't pick up, let's see what happens tomorrow. I also got a call from SVC itself but wasn't able to attend that. Will keep you guys updated, I am not going to let them get away with this, if nothing else, I will go the showroom on a Sunday and create a fuss. That will teach them.

Bike is performing well, the first gear is hard and the rear brake still makes a noise when applied. Other than that no issues, I know first two gears of cbr are hard so I am not expecting an improvement there, but I don't know about the screeching noise from the rear brake. Wasn't there after the service yesterday, is it because the brakes are still new? Braking is good as always, no reduction in performance, just the noise.

As in what i meant was u can feel the engine picking up at 6 :P n ya dude the first gear is really short and rough so i generally shift from it by max 5rpm.
Dude your SVC seems like a big cheat....it would be better if you get your servicing infront of you from the next time :P
My first service costed me 1127 coz i got the teflon done again since they weren't giving any option of buffing and my center took only 170 for chain lubrication.
        The total charges were:
        Engine oil = 440 (1L full synthetic 10w30)
        teflon = 350
        chain lubrication = 150
and some consumable charges = 55
and tax of 14% on all
and the free service included disk brake cleaning, wheel balancing, front fork alignment and complete bike wash including the tyre polish
If there is a screeching sound you should get your rear disc checked maybe he has made it lil tight n that would heat up the plate real bad....any of that happening?
My service guy made the front brake much more precise and the rear lil loose, even i gtta get it rectified.
Btw how are your brakes set up?

after the service im generally revving it to 7~8 but revved it to 10 once and it was SWEET!!! went to max 115kmph with a pillion and it was super smooth and amazingly stable!
The full synthetic oil sure makes a difference hehe
        how is yours??

can be the chain maybe......if its coming from the center of the bike it may be the chain sprocket, it is highly impossible for a new bike but driving style can be a cause...

Yeah but now it's rectified, got a call from them saying they will compensate, will go there in 10 days to get my tank replaced, will ask for a can of chain lubricant.

Dude I will have to disagree with you on short first gear, mine hits 50kmph at 11k rpm, at 7k it's 30kmph and engine feels butter smooth till 6k, which means 25kmph. Plates are heating up normal, performance is not affected, let's see, I am researching, sometimes this sound comes because of the caliper vibrating within. Will ask the SVC to correct, free of charge. Rear is not making the noise, front is, before service it was rear.

The SVC mechanic said Cbr150r comes with fully synthetic as stock, but still, I feel acceleration has improved after the first service, earlier in first at 7k it was 27kmph, not it's 30kmph. Can't complain.

I rev it high every time I ride, redlined it only twice before first service, now, I do that at least once every time I ride just for the fun. It screams really loud and everyone stares.

Teflon is a big scam, they use a rubbing polish, not even lacquer, instead of protecting a new bike, it is rubbing some paint off. Sucks. Once I am done with this chain compensation issue and tank replacement, I will kick some butts for cheating customers by selling teflon coating.

Don't worry once you book it they will give you the bike in 1-2 weeks. Same happened with me.

Helmet depends on your budget, Studds is the best Indian brand, sturdy good quality helmets. I would recommend riding gear too. Icarus jacket by Spartan is great VFM, Perseus knee guards are expensive but very comfortable, I have MC-08 gloves from Scoyco, again VFM.

You can replace the pilot lamp bulbs with LEDs, cheap and looks better. Although, avoid putting red color even though it looks nice, because it can confuse other drivers.

You can also rewire the license plate light at the back to a LED strip underneath the rear seat to create an underglow.

I am thinking of tank pad, jacket is rubbing off the clear coat, anyone who has put tank pads on their CBR?

Just read a page specifying that CBR 150 made minor tweaks to it's original model,Is it true ? and can I know what r the changes made ?
are they gonna revamp the CBR 150 anywhere near by changing it's gear etc..??

No such official news till date. Could you post the link where you found that. And yes changing gear lever and putting engine kill and pass light switch is really needed for a bike like CBR
