My ride is 15 months old. Rode 7k Kms on it. Do I need to replace anything? She is giving a bit hard ride these days.

Get the chain lubed and adjusted. This solves many problems. Adjust the clutch if having difficulty in engaging gears. When was the last time you drained the oil and put in some fresh one? New oil should help more. Ride, ride, ride bro. Its CeeBer, how can you resist it?

Just noticed, I have touched 300 posts now and made it on CBR 150R thread.

Has anyone upgraded headlamps? I don't want to mess with HIDs and projectors, just looking for something more powerful than stock. Please mention brand/model name and price.

I think all this has been discussed in this thread and many ither threads also. Such topics are in every thread. Kindly search back also for more options.
You can either go for Philips xtreme vision or Osram night-breakers. It should cost you some 500-600rs a piece for 35w. Or you can use normal halogen 55/60w bulb, for 100rs.

                Ride safe and have fun.

I tried searching, but it turned up many irrelevant threads. Maybe next time I'll search directly on Google instead. Thanks for the suggestions on bulbs too.

Ya, search your topic and write 'xbhp' at the end. I search a lot using this and mostly I find what I am searching for. Also, you should try seaching the cbr250 and r15v2 threads for this query.

                        @neevarp16....
Just wanted to clear some questions about the Cbr..
There has been so much criticism about the low end tourque.. but you seem to travel in hilly areas.. Have you faced any low end performance issues..alone or with a pillion?? Or it is just overhyped.??
Does the new cbr have a pass light ??
Is the spare parts costly or difficult to find??

any one else ..who can shed light on the low torque issue??
RIDE it To FEEL it !!!

Low end torque... to be frank., relatively it is low.
but, this has been criticised too much by those who are too lazy to shift gears, i would say.

When my friends ask for a ride.,i never let them ride alone,
cause not one guy till date has rolled the bike from standstill without stalling it.
Rev up and ride, its the solution.

Of course, for on-lookers it will look like this guy is riding harsh,
for ignorant, we'll be damaging the engine. but, it is how it is done with this bike.

About your question, me usually in city roads even 'll always have my rpm >7k min for the first 4 gears.
and during hills climbs, excitedly, the needle 'll be above 9k, for sure .... for me it is fun.
and that is what this engine is for.
So, have never faced any performance issue, or anything.

question 'll now be, you can't always ride like in high rpms changing gears all the time... but that's how i ride it.

for you, if you haven't ridden in hills.... when riding 'casually' up-hills,
shift down, rise 4-5k rpm... engine starts to scream... shift up to be 'casual'...
rpm drops 1-1.5k for the shift and in next 10 secs, it again drops ~4k and again shift down... and cycle repeats...
or else., just have it above 8k, and enjoy!!!

Regarding spares, it is not costly, but yeah, a little hard to find.
Call your SVC, confirm spares availability, pre-book it for your bike and then go for replacement.
And in case of emergency, it is gonna be tough.

I wanted to stay stock.,but my SVC took 2 weeks to get me a TVS rear tyre.,so changed mine with a MRF dealer.

And, no, there is no pass switch.
Solution is it can be easily fitted., spending some extra cash above your bikes MRP.
or, the dimmer switch, it can effectively be used as a pass, with little training.
I have been doing so, and have never felt like missing a pass switch.

As I always say, rev and ride, and this engine is made for that.
                          My sig. says it all.

Edit: aaahh.., i haven't been updating my logs a long time.
Have to pen down them soon.
BTW, munnar, athirapally and valpaarai are on charts for this month's end. All excited!

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Came across this thread today and went through the complete logs. Nice travelogue there, and indeed amazing pictures !!
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

100% True!! I have stopped giving my bike to anyone, unless its really an emergency.
