OT:get a baby ninja or a harley 750,but i think you should save more and get a 600 cc super sports bike like (daytona 675r/daytona 675/cbr600f if launched) or a devilish , brutal looking naked (z800/z1000/fz1/ducati monster)

No bro im too inexperienced for something as powerful as a middle weight but a ninja 300 or four hundred or the most likely CBR 300-500 R would be humble enough for my needs. But should I go for a single cylinder or twin cyclinder ?? How different are the power delivery?? And abs something I can't miss I need abs for my wet weather conditions and night riding.since ninja300 doesn't offer ABS in India so its out of the question. i am hardcore Honda fan but i am hoping to experiment this time.i dislike naked and cruiser motorcycles for reasons i dont know.am a full faired clip on's ty

Well, you don't have much options then. CBR250R is the only option that you have if you want to buy right now. If you wait, you can check out CBR300R and 500R, along with HX250R, Pulsar400SS and the KTM RCs if they are launched. But for touring purposes, I guess CBR might be the best bet. Most probably KTMs will be aggressive, the other two, might suit you. Wait, test ride and choose a comfortable one.

But my biggest bet is the ninja 400 .it seems to match the CBR 500 R expecting a lot of it .KTM'S are gonna be so common in a few days that I just don't want to buy one just because alot people are gonna own these and there will be no exclusivity of owning KTM

That might cost more than 4 lakhs though, if you can afford it, go for it! Provided it is launched.

Thnx for the reply bro Akash!

They say starting the bike from a stop takes lots of revving because of low torque.. So is there anyway how we can increase the torque?

Also, do u face problems without the pass switch?

Don't know about the torque but the absence of the pass switch on the baby blade doesn't to be a problem now.... The headlight on-off switch can be alternatively used as a passer... It has that fast working mechanism ....

Anyone here tried racing ignition coil, high tension wire, iridium plug? Does it give fuel efficiency and responsiveness?

What is the fuel efficiency of a CBR150? I've read reviews hinting at 45-50 while posts on this thread have chided others from expecting anything above 35.

You are for sure to get 30 on hard riding.. Sure 35 on fun riding.. And a 40 on highway cruising hovering ~6-7k rpm.. Anything above that., I haven't got.

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Mine is a two month old ...
and my everyday riding is in light - moderate traffic... And it returns 40 kmpl... M sure on long highway rides the figures may go up to 45-47.....

P.S. It is a rev happy and aggressive sportsbike... So having fun on the bike will surely mean that the mileage will go down...

                          • One day ride - Chennai - yelagiri - Chennai .. 455 KMS biking.. 8 kms trekking

Last month (jan 5th), went for a one day trip. THE PLAN was actually initiated by "CBR - Chennai brotherhood" ppl from Facebook. Started the ride along with them at 5a.m near sriperumbur, but lost them immedietely after the start. My friend (having 250R) and myself alone came out of the herd and continued the ride.
