Daniel - yes - absolutely a loose chain can produce that kind of vibration, as Divya Sharan corroborates. And yes - you need to follow the chain slack guidelines indicated in your owner's manual, and regularly clean and lube your chain. The chain doesn't technically stretch, it wears and that contributes to its extra length. Not sure if the stock chain in India is a non O-ring type chain. If it is - you will find that switching to an O-ring chain or perhaps even better - an X-ring chain - will extend the life of the chain considerably leading to less wear. (D.I.D. make great chains). Of course - you'll still have to clean and lube it. I use a rag and spray the chain with kerosene (it's safe to use with O-ring and X-ring chains) and wrap the rag around the chain and slowly turn the rear wheel with my other hand to clean all the links. After cleaning it - I spray it with Dupont Chain Saver. It goes on as a liquid, but quickly dries as a waxy substance. When dry - it not only lubricates the chain, but its slippery nature helps prevent dirt from sticking to it - and seems to keep it clean longer.

Can we adjust idle rpm of our cbr? if yes. How?

I mean 1.6 to 1.9 idle is a bit high for me, would like it to be 1.2 so is to save fuel when warming up the engine, and what fs would you recomend? Motul 7100 or 300v?

This bike is best suited for touring as I use it only for touring as I take a lot of long trips. I got the TVS tires. Most of my one way trips are 400 kms. I even did a 660 km single trip. . As AKASH noted in the thread, the TVS tires are not perfect in wet roads, but it rides decent. As for long trips in dry roads, it is pretty good. I rode the bike on every worse to best roads and the tires didn't give me a problem.

P.S: There is a perception with most of the people that TVS tires are not good, but I think they are a good product considering my previous experience with their tires and the quality of them.

As for the engine, its great and never tires. Once it ran around 100kms plus continuously, the bike is a charm to drive. Braking response is good too(For me its the front that are great).

The omission of the pass light is a letdown as its important in highways. I myself was frustrated 2 to 3 times in highways.

The headlight is perfect and has a wide coverage.

Yes, when ur riding the bike around 80kmph and suddenly if u immediately slow down(panic braking), and if u engage the first gear, there will be not enough power(U feel there is a loss of power). There is no way to increase the low end torque as the engine is designed in that way.

The pass light is not a big letdown, but if it is included in a future revision of the CBR150, I will immediately change the switches.


I got a 46kmpl during my long ride in run-in period as I was driving the bike mostly in 70 kmph max! During my recent long ride I drove constantly above 100kmph and it returned a mileage of 30kmpl. I mostly dont care about the mileage as this bike is meant to be revved high and that's where the fun is.

Hello everyone, recently I purchased CBR 150 in black colour, first service is done on 920 KMs. Now I am using synthetic engine oil.
I have some issues...

I have the confusion...I heard that the top speed is 147kmph for CBR 150....??? don't know exactly...
anybody can help me...sorry for any english or terminological mistake...please help...
