I think many here would agree with me when I say that the footpegs on the bike are not the best.(not spring loaded)
So what I wanted to ask was that if anyone here has changed them? Like replaced them with, say those of the 250r?

In that case, shifting to semi synth after 1 k shouldn't pose a problem. Because, Honda designed the engine to work with FS oil as standard.

The chain doesn't technically stretch, it wears and that contributes to its extra length. Not sure if the stock chain in India is a non O-ring type chain. If it is - you will find that switching to an O-ring chain or perhaps even better - an X-ring chain - will extend the life of the chain considerably leading to less wear. (D.I.D. make great chains). Of course - you'll still have to clean and lube it. I use a rag and spray the chain with kerosene (it's safe to use with O-ring and X-ring chains) and wrap the rag around the chain and slowly turn the rear wheel with my other hand to clean all the links. After cleaning it - I spray it with Dupont Chain Saver. It goes on as a liquid, but quickly dries as a waxy substance. When dry - it not only lubricates the chain, but its slippery nature helps prevent dirt from sticking to it - and seems to keep it clean longer.
The stock chain coming with 150R is ordinary one , not O-ring type. I think 250R is coming with O-ring chain.

              I don't know how.
Mostly by some ECU re mapping i guess... But more than that., am curious as to why you need to adjust that?

I mean 1.6 to 1.9 idle is a bit high for me, would like it to be 1.2 so is to save fuel when warming up the engine, and what fs would you recomend? Motul 7100 or 300v?

The engine should idle at 1300-1600 RPM during cold starts, else 1100-1200 RPM.
We can't adjust it. It needs a remap. Carb'ed bikes had the freedom to adjust idle/AFR.

Shell Advanced (10W40 FS) is good.

I have replaced my chain sprocket set twice since i bought in august 2012, i use to adjust slackness and lube it regularly but the life of chain nd frnt sprocket goes down soon
After replacing the new one, i can hear the cruck cruck cruck noise/vibration like a wornout sprocket

Am i the only person facing issue or anybody else?

                      Wat is the possible reasons?

Hello everyone, recently I purchased CBR 150 in black colour, first service is done on 920 KMs. Now I am using synthetic engine oil.
I have some issues...1. The showroom persons on the first day suggested me to keep the speed max up to 40-50kmph before the first service which i tried to maintain...but felt some less power.
                            2. After first service technician suggested me that it is a sports bike so no need to worry about maintaining the speed up to 40-50kmph and you can use it freely. confusing..?????
                            3. I speed up the bike max 125kmph (as per odometer) with full throttle...and felt a less power in 4 and 6 gear..
                            4. Odometer is showing some false reading...we were two persons riding on different bike one pulsar 150 and me on cbr 150... CBR odometer was showing 53kmph and Pulsar odometer was showing 50kmph and the same I felt around 70 to 80 kmph...with other bikes too... if u throttle bike in comparison to speed the meter reading is faster... I am in a doubt....??? I asked the mechanic too but he said on the second service we'll check.
                            5. felt less power in 4th gear and 6 gear.....if you speed up to 50kmph in 3rd gear and come to 4th gear then it simply make sound... when you speed up to 80-90kmph in 5th gear and come to 6th gear it shows simply moving doesn't give feel of more power and the throttle is over...

I have the confusion...I heard that the top speed is 147kmph for CBR 150....??? don't know exactly...
anybody can help me...sorry for any english or terminological mistake...please help...

I even did a 660 km single trip. . As AKASH noted in the thread, the TVS tires are not perfect in wet roads, but it rides decent. As for long trips in dry roads, it is pretty good. I rode the bike on every worse to best roads and the tires didn't give me a problem.

P.S: There is a perception with most of the people that TVS tires are not good, but I think they are a good product considering my previous experience with their tires and the quality of them.

As for the engine, its great and never tires. Once it ran around 100kms plus continuously, the bike is a charm to drive. Braking response is good too(For me its the front that are great).

The omission of the pass light is a letdown as its important in highways. I myself was frustrated 2 to 3 times in highways.

The headlight is perfect and has a wide coverage.

Yes, when ur riding the bike around 80kmph and suddenly if u immediately slow down(panic braking), and if u engage the first gear, there will be not enough power(U feel there is a loss of power). There is no way to increase the low end torque as the engine is designed in that way.

The pass light is not a big letdown, but if it is included in a future revision of the CBR150, I will immediately change the switches.

I got a 46kmpl during my long ride in run-in period as I was driving the bike mostly in 70 kmph max! During my recent long ride I drove constantly above 100kmph and it returned a mileage of 30kmpl. I mostly dont care about the mileage as this bike is meant to be revved high and that's where the fun is.
