Last time, when had my Cone set changed, they charged me around 1500/- or so(including the price of Cone). Changing Air filter wont take more than changing the Chain sprocket I guess. My chain sprocket change labour cost me around 330/-.

even i had the exact problem!within 2mins right side heated way too much but after checking i found that i had been running low on coolant!and you must change the oil at max by 3000km run! do it by 2500! more suitable! regarding motul 10w40,trust me on that, it's superb! provides both grunt and smoothness! while the honda ss oil makes it way too smooth to the point that though speed rises,i do not realize it even!-_- and i hate that! the only way to avoid overheating of that kind is to check coolant level and the amount of kms done since last servicing!

I have heard that new CBR 150 2014 is launched in Philippines. Is anyone aware that the same version is going to be launched in India as well?

Honda cbr150r's battery is EXIDE ETZ7 and comes with 2 years warranty (written in manual) so claim warranty if time isn't over. It's a 6Ah MF (exide VRLA) battery and cost is 1.5-1.6k when original battery is returned. It's rarely available so you may need to go with XPTZ5 which is 4Ah but does the work.
p.s. Normal batteries won't fit in CBR like red n white exide ones. So look for black colored exide batteries(called VRLA).

EDIT: XPTZ5 costs 1200 when previous battery is returned.

How much fuel will be left after the fuel gauge starts blinking?

                      I guess Its 2litres .
Bikes fuel pump is submerged in tank in that litres so its advisable to fill the fuel once Low fuel warning shows up.

Does anyone know where I can get mirrors with turn signals? And will installing those void my warranty?

                          • Tyres

I have a 2 and half years old cbr 150r, 17k kms done. The rear tyre has already got 5 punctures, and looks pretty old now (but there is no problems in gripping), I am planning to install a bigger one - 140" (stock is 130/70 x 17) . Please suggest/ advise on the below queries

                            1) How frequent do we need to change the tyres.
                            2) Which brand should i go for
                            3) Exact specification for the new tyre size.
                            4) Wil this upgrade ruins my bike mileage and performance. Thanks

                              1) average life of tyres is about 15k kms. But soft compound tyres usually last less, while hard compound tyres may last much more.
                              2) more than brand, specific tyre should be researched about e.g. MRF makes both soft as well as hard compound tyres. Although pirelli brand makes great soft compound tyres, they're hard to find in India so will also be overpriced.
                              3) if you're going for 140/70-17, height of bike will be increased (140*70 >130*70)
                              4) I don't know about any good tyres in 140 specs. CBR250r comes with conti-go(correct me if I'm wrong), and owners aren't quite proud of the grip levels.

I suggest you 130/70-R17 MRF REVz S that comes in R15 v2. It's pretty good(sticky) and may cost u around 3k to 3.5k depending on where u live.
Sorry but I don't know about any 140 specs tyre that is good. Others may guide you well. And yes there will be consequences of bigger size (i think 130 is already big for the 150cc motor), but can't tell the extent of them.
                              Cheers!

If you want a good tyre with 140 size for your CBR, Go for Michelin Pilot Street Radial 140/70 R17, One of the best one out there built in Medium Compound (Hard one the middle soft on the side) and recommended by all people around here.

This one cost you 6.5k around for the rear only because it is Radial not a Cross Ply, Another 140 recommended by people around here Dunlop Tuff Grip 140/70 R17 - no idea about price and availability pretty tough though (as the name suggested LOL)

But before you go for 140 is it recommended for CBR 150 ? Isn't going to hampers bike stability ?
