Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Well this isn't a joke! I have a 140/70 17 Ceat Dhoom 3 rear tyre. Higher tyre height does allow a slight increase in the top-end.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostApril fool's day was 2 days ago.
I wouldn't get anything bluffing on this forum anyway bro.Last edited by joelgreen; 04-04-2015, 05:22 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Took my bike out for a spin on the highway today morning...turns out it was struggling to go above 130 kmph...managed to touch 137 on a straight! I guess the stretch I touched 150 on was a long downward sloping stretch then! But it was difficult to make it out back then! Sorry for the false alarm folks!Originally posted by joelgreen View PostJust touched 150 kmph for a second yesterday on the highway folks! (Couldn't go any further as there were more vehicles on the road ahead, so had to slow down!) I feel so proud to be a CBR owner!

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Well headwind does make a difference, the 150s are capable of some crazy top ends if the conditions are right, there is a lot of speedo error but I remember a friends 150 keeping up with my tricked out D200, we did see a 144kmph on the GPS, it does hit a wall after that though.Originally posted by joelgreen View PostTook my bike out for a spin on the highway today morning...turns out it was struggling to go above 130 kmph...managed to touch 137 on a straight! Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Any idea which engine oil is best suited for our baby blades? My cousin has a 150R too and uses Motul 4T 7100 20W50 claiming that it is much better than the Honda Oil in performance. Please recommend which oil I should opt for as I have to get it serviced this weekend and shall be getting the oil changed then!

Hey Praveen,Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostI've fixed it in the mid-bar between clip-ons on the other side of the Honda logo.
Glad you liked it.
I saw the velocity clip adhesive mount video on their website and I wasn't very confident
with the adhesive mount part, wanted your view on how sturdy is that adhesive mount (with the mobile mounted) on some of the worst/uneven roads of Bangalore? Have you faced any problems with the adhesive mount till now?
Your review will be of great help.

I met with an accident a month back and the whole fork assembly was replaced. Had to remove the adhesive clip. (that was one helluva job though!)
That clip is sturdy made mate.
It is of top notch quality and the grip it offers on mobiles is perfect.
I have used it with MotoG as GPS in fork mid-bar and Xperia Mini as a helmet cam.
In helmet, it held up good tested till 110kmph.
Trust me mate., it holds up good!
Why opt for 3rd party oils ?Originally posted by joelgreen View PostAny idea which engine oil is best suited for our baby blades? Don't get me wrong.., all oils are made for a reason and to some specs.
Your cousin's choice would be the best choice or you can go for Castrol 10W30 if not for Honda oil.
But., you are not gonna take it to racetrack.
neither any stunts, right?
So, why the hassle ?
You can change Honda oil twice for the price of 3rd party oils.
Two changes of factory oil per 5k mileage or one third party change for 5k ?
Your choice mate! The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

It's no hassle bro...just wanna know whether the other oils improve engine performance (even though very slightly) in terms of mileage or smoothness! I love my bike, I'm obsessed with her and am always interested on finding out ways to keep her at her best!Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostWhy opt for 3rd party oils ?
