Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Hey guys,
i just sold my hero hunk as i m frustrated by service of bike. Now just bought Honda CBR150r deluxe on 10/03/2015. I know people would say that you should buy 250 not 150.
I love my bike and loved the repsol colour. 250 abs is costing me 80000 rs more and the next bike i will buy will be twin engine bike. So thats why investing too much money in 250 is very hard for me as my economic condition. Also the mileage of 150 is better than 250. Heres my bike...

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Thanks rohit. Well waiting period is just 10 days as i have financed the bike. I love the sound when bike starts...its just awesome feeling and you will think that we are in race arena. Just completed first 100 kms with maintaining the speed limit upto 60 kmph.Originally posted by rohitv_happy View PostHi kundanghanekar,

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
I dont know why the showroom personal says this to me that maintain speed. Although bike always wants me to raise and speed hunger is shown by bike. Aso can some body tell me, how much mileage this bike will give me when fuel indicator showing constant last dot.Originally posted by TheMN View PostIt's a high revving bike. Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Hey guys...I have been trying to pop wheelies on my baby blade, but I'm not able to pull it off! Can someone guide me as to what speed I'm supposed to do this at?
I've tried doing it in the first gear at around 10kmph...dropping the clutch at around 6-7k RPM! Can only manage lifting the wheel about an inch off the ground on a speed-breaker using the power-wheelie method! But I wanna learn to pull off some proper wheelies. Someone please point me in the right direction!

Mate, letting the clutch pop is not called power wheelie.,
and of the bikes in India which can power wheelie starts from D390, if am not wrong.
And to wheelie 150R, you have to pop the clutch at ~8-8.5k, cause there's where max. torque (or almost all torque) lies in our case.
And I mean it mate, pop it.
From my experiences,
popping a wheelie in stock condition is tough.
Front fork travel is a lot in the bike,
A change in rear sprocket is needed and a free flow exhaust would aid it.
And, be responsible to try it off public roads. The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
I spotted a CBR 150 R and a 250 R next to each other today. I thought they had the same rear tyre profile. The contact patch/area on the ground looked similar too. Then when I went closer, the tyre on CBR 250R had 140/70 spec. I just want to know why this size difference and which has more contact area? How can the 10mm size difference be justified? Someone please clarify this

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Read my post again bro...I know that using the clutch isn't called a power-wheelie! I meant to say that I use the power-wheelie method to lift the front wheel a teeny-tiny bit off the tarmac on a small rumbler! It happens! But yeah, I've been practising and found that a proper wheelie happens only when popping the clutch in the high rev band! Been practicing in isolated stretches of wide roads with zero traffic and almost no pedestrians too.:thumbup:Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostPower wheelie?

Hoping to get better at it with practice...taking it easy for now...😃Last edited by joelgreen; 03-28-2015, 06:35 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
The difference of 6 bhp is the simplest reason.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostI just want to know why this size difference and which has more contact area? How can the 10mm size difference be justified? Someone please clarify this
And, if you want to analyse deep, lot of other factor pop up in.
lol.. yeah I read that again..Originally posted by joelgreen View PostRead my post again bro...
I think you are confused between the pop you get in high-speed encounters with speed breakers for a wheelie.
Now am confused what a power wheelie is..?
Can you deliberately explain, how is a speed breaker is of any use to do a power-wheelie.?
It might help a lot., seriously.
I wanna see my 12 Nm 18 bhp 140+Kg machine do a power wheelie..!The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
No! Haha! I approach a small rumbler at around 10 kmph...just when I hit it, I twist the throttle and pull up on the handlebars...and lo! Up comes the front wheel, about 10-12 inches...sometimes more if done well...Originally posted by neevarp16 View Postlol.. yeah I read that again..

It comes up without any clutch action for a second so it's a baby power-wheelie...hahahaha!
Otherwise I know power wheelies are impossible on this baby! 😂😂😂
