I looking for a good and well maintained used bike. Cbr 150r and 250r are in option lists. I know there is performance difference between both but in used bike market cost difference between them is 10-12k only. I just want to know spares cost, spares availability and reliability wise which is better. Mileage wise there must be a difference of 10kmpl which is ok. My main concern is spares cost, if they cost almost the same then I'll stuck off 150r from my list but if there is considerable amount of difference then I'll consider 150r or there options in my price range.

150R is a Track Bike whereas the 250R is a Sports Tourer.

Do be sure what you're looking for before taking the plunge.

There is a considerable difference in parts of price. Usually the components non 250r cost 1.5 to 2x of the 150r. But the price you pay, is worth it. Maintenance of baby ceeber is gonna cost a lot.

I own both of them and they both are very different in terms of power and handling

Cbr 150 is very light
Cbr 250 feels heavy after riding cbr 150

Cbr 250 is planted on highways
Cbr 150 is not very confidence inspiring at high speed crusing

Brakes on 250 is much better (specially ABS one)
Spares like brake pads, conset and fork seals are 2x cost of cbr 150 spares

Cbr 250 will need better tyres too (costly again)

But at the end the power and exhaust note of 250 is far better than 150

150 is a 50-50% touring machine
250 is a 80% touring 20% city

Riding 250 in the city feels a little bad ,bike is not very happy in city

If u ride solo cbr 150 is enough
But if u have a pillion 150 will geel very sluggish
250 is 2x better

Cbr 250 has wider handle bar which is good for long hands
Cbr 150 feels a little crammed for 6 feet guy like me

Mileage is also a point

150 gives me 40 overall mileage

250 is giving around 30 overall

I still love both of them

I been riding almost 80-90% of the time on my CBR 250 in the city, don't face any issues . Plus it's running a full system and ecu n air filter,soo bottom end has improved, I could do sprocketing and increase the torque but I'm fine with the stock setup .

Hi, does anyone know of any other bike's chain sprocket set will be a direct fit to CBR150R with an alteration in the number of teeths (Either front or rear). CBdazzler's is a direct fit. But it is the same final reduction as stock. I am looking for a change in the final reduction.

I need to buy fork oil seal of cbr 150r but right now i am not able to source it from honda. Is there any alternative which is direct fit. Pls suggest.

Can anyone help me ? I own a 2012 CBR150R, First Batch model. I haven't used it much, just around 25k kilometres. Recently i found out that a Rat has eaten the fuel pipe and it's been 2 months of searching and asking around Honda service centre and spare parts but I'm not getting it. Can anyone suggest me an alternative fuel pipe which will go into the fuel pump socket and the injector, as I checked using a car fuel hose, but the Cbr has a smaller hole at the fuel tank and larger one down at the injector. Any suggestions will help and alternatives. Thank you so much.

Spare parts shortage and availability is really becoming task for CBR150/250R owner, I recently checked and change the Shims. It took me over 4 weeks time and lots of phone calls and visits. just find out the part no. I will check here in my location (Aurangabad, Maharashtra) and if available I will courier to you if not i try to order it (as I also needed one piece). Until then find the right Jugaad which solve the purpose, and be cautiously as fuel leak can lead to fire.
