Around 3-4 days back the bike's gear was stuck and not shifting and i had a lot of problem while picking it up in that gear from a low speed. The first service was done on time and the gear problems have started after the first service... Otherwise the bike is really responsive and good. Odometer reading is 840+ and its giving a fuel efficiency of 38-42. I asked a honda guy about this problem and he said that since the bike is new it will take time to adjust nothing is wrong with it. But these gear problems occur sometimes and are a big problem in heavy traffic. Please suggest what to do if anyone else has also experienced this.!!!
    Hi
I too own a CBR 150R. Experienced gear shifting problems myself. The 1st and 2nd gear on my feels pretty hard and some times the gears get stuck. I have to open the throttle a little and then the gear clicks in although this happens only sometimes specially during rapid downshifting after slowing down from high speeds.
Mentioned it to the mechanic during my bike's fourth service. I think he made some clutch adjustments and the gear shifting improved to a certain extent. I guess this is a flaw with the transaxle design of the bike.

P.S: I have got all the servicings done on time and got my chain and sprockets replaced as well during the fourth service.

The key thing is to be firm on the gear-shift lever while shifting (don't gently move the lever up otherwise a missed shift can happen in higher gears too). With the arch of your foot on the peg push down on it and using it as leverage press the gear-shift level up. Give this a try.

Its because of your gear shifting nature.
I am not personally not an owner of 150r, but my brother has...
I have also the same problem with his bike. But he doesn't
I am riding on my 200NS. Many times, I had to shift twice to get 2nd gear from first gear @ most of the time.
You have to pull hard from first to second. didn't use "gentle" shift.
His bike's gear shifting is smoothest than my 200NS
I wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!
So I can red line my bike all the time

normally we can hit 100kmph at 7th rpm..but top end depends up on your road, wind, and mainly gear shift...

Then Sir, you have lot of Speedo error or you clocked that speed in a downhill
CBR 150's true top speed is 132 or 134 km/hr n it would take a huge amount of seconds to reach that speed after 120kmhr

Oh. But i have seen some indian guy doing 156 at 10500 rpm on youtube, though it did take a lot of time. Was able to hear the limiter struggling to keep revs at 10500. Dont know if it was a stock cbr or a modded one.
Btw, ajay, please give me some insight on the bike as im looking forward to buy her.

Well, Duh you have clocked 15500kms, the average life of chain n sprockets is from 14k to 17k for cbr 150/250

SO your B'day of your Babyblade is same as mine(not my bike's :P) ie 26th aug

Since you were looking for top-speed you can go for P220 144kmhr or P200ns 136kmhr. CBR 150 for its price I don't think its worth, if you pay 35k more you get a cbr 250 which have 25bhp of power or if you pay 13k more you get The Orange Venom Duke 200 which is a looker(top speed 138) and also has 25bhp of power. The choice is yours. Since you have budget for CBR 150, you could go for duke 200 just by paying 13-15k more

P.S all the above mentioned TOP speed are True top speed ie GPS indicated and not Speedo indicated
                                Thanks for the details buddy,
                                Cbr 150 : 1.44L
                                CBR 250 (abs) : 2.08L
                                Duke 390 : 2.12L

                                So theres a difference of 54 grands between 150 n 250.
But duke is not my game, d200 too stressed and naked. Not so comfortable for touring. Besides i will b touring in doubles (me and my gf) she would kill me if i buy duke which has almost negligible pillion seat.

Duke 390, lol, my mistake that i didnt share that my gf will also ride the bike. She rides well but i dont wanna give a 45 horses to a gal who doesnt know anything about power. She just knows that she has a bike and she has to open full throttle in every gear, that's my influence though i dont want her to power wheelie by mistake.

CBR 250 ABS is an awesome option but i dont have that budget let me know if 50 thousand people on xbhp can lend me 2 rs. each, then it will b possible

P375: i never trust pulsars except p135, but i believe they will take pulsar to the nexy level and thats why im waiting for its launch n test ride.

So im left with CBR 150 now, high price for a 150cc but after all that 150 cc can give me almost same high speeds as duke 200, p200ns, p220 plus with a compatitively better average. And a DOHC engine which will never let me worry about its life after those high speeds n full throttle. It has a fairing, with pillion comfort and my favorite red and white colour. Its a 150cc which performs better or at least same as 200, 220 etc (dont count the power) talking about engine reliability and tops n cruising speed, is way too smooth compared to pulsars vibrations.

However, im just waiting for p375, if it offers a less vibrating machine then i will go for it else cbr150.

Btw, i touched 146 (speedo) on an acquaintance's cbr 150. Struggled after 132.
