Hi, congrats on your booking. I think that is not CBR 150R. it is CB 150R, which does not have the fairing. It is the naked version of CBR 150R. Not sure about the Engine tuning and power figures. It was recently shown in some motorcycle exhibitions. Honda will be releasing it next year in India. Even naked version of R15 v2.0 is also on cards for next year.Originally posted by Alwin Raj View PostHi xBph-'s
This is my first post in this website and this thread. thanks to all who contributed their experience about cbr 150r. nearly a week i waited to get the access for posting my questions here.
I am happy to share you my joy that i have made my booking for cbr 150r orange color in Lodha Honda, Tamabar, chennai. today evening.. I have got the best price here after getting quotations from various dealers. the waiting period is just one month.. the guy who attended me in showroom was good in explaining everything. I need your help on this... that guy said there is an upgraded cbr 150r going to be released after march 2013. it will be with kick start. and it is not officially announced & he got the news from some where in the magazines. so i think it may come up with latest switch gear with engine kill switch and Pass light . if i get those features i am ready to wait for another 4 months also.. how to confirm this news.. ? thanks in advace..
On hindsight, there is no big impact without engine kill, atleast for me. But Pass light, yes it may be needed during overtaking and all. May be after warrantly, we can install that.
Coming to my earlier issue on the pulsating feeling in regular intervals that i was getting is due to chain. I went to ASC, the cbr mechanic drove it once and confirmed it. He tightened the handle bar and asked me to clean and lube the chain. I did it myself. Now the blade is back in form. He also asked me to adjust chain tightness, I didn't do it myself, i will give it to ASC during 2nd service and let them do it. Because that involves adjusting 2 screws in tandem which needs some skill.Riding 17.6 horses out of which 5 horses work in the city and other 12+ horses wake up after 6k rpm and run after 8k rpm

Hi Guys,
I need an advice from you on buying CBR 150R. I have just booked that in this week. expecting the delivery on last week of January 2013. i asked the show room guy whether that model(make) will be 2012 or 2013. he said it will be 2012 only. if you want 2013 model you will have to wait till march last week or april first week. so my question is what will be the difference for 2012 & 2013. i am not in a hurry of taking new bike. i can even wait for 3 months if it makes sense. guys please advice me what shall i do ?

First this is not a commuter bike. So expecting a stable high mileage is null! The bike mostly falls in the category of 30-35km/l. Additionally, if u drive in city only, it gives this mileage only. Only in highway u can expect more than 40(under perfect road conditions).Originally posted by B2W View PostHi friend help me my odo hit 2450km.starting period i got 45-46km/l.but now i am getting only 30km/l.my parents are scolding me.i checked air level its normal and my chain also normal.please help me guysSometimes you gotta run before you can walk ! - Tony Stark

Just read about an accident that took place yesterday at Agriculture University, Coimbatore where a green 150R and an FZ tried to cut a car from the wrong side and got hit head on. The CBR is a total wreck and the FZ aswell is what i was told. Anyone from here?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Thanks for your suggestion.. I have taken the beast to the ASC again yesterday and they have tightened the chain, lubricated it and checked all the screws. Now i can hear no sound like previously...Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostI have checked that part, The part was available at the ASC but it was intact in my case. The rubber part which you talked about in previous posts."I have read almost last 40-50 pages of this thread". My issue is with Chain "I think". it keeps on getting loosened after every few days. I dont ride rash "But yes, Fast", No hurry in pickup, smooth start. Still that noise is bugging me... Bike is Totally a beast on the road but few things always make you feel different and make you uneasy both.
Please get your rear axle nuts tightened a wee bit more after you have the chain slackness adjusted. This way, the tightened bolts on the swing-arm will prevent the chain from getting loose often. And don't worry, the nuts cannot be over-tightened too much in this case, just a wee bit more.

The mechanic.. Oooppss.. CBR specialised Mechanic told me that it is the sweet sound of Chain, which is to my best knowledge is not the reason. Don't know what to do????
Are you sure its not the silencer, but the chain? Maybe, the nut/bolt near the silencer is loose
A few suggestions in bold.
But there is another problem now for which even honda wants this beast to be checked at Honda Manesar...
as soon as i start the bike, a buzzing sound is coming from the electronics of this beast. The person has launched the complaint and will be calling me once the Honda testing team will come.
Lets see and lets hope for the best...

Hi Guys....
I need your advice on CBR.. Last week i had booked CBR 150R in chennai. delivery time is one month. i shared this to my friends and few of them suggested me to go for CBR 250R.
i am aware of all the pros and cons about CBR 150R. my budget was around 1 lakh. after seeing CBR 150R i could not control myself. decided to go for it though it costs 40,000 more than my budget. CBR 250r costs 30000 higher than 150r. so i feel still i can somehow manage to get. i am not aware of the CBR 250R pros and cons. i am not so good in analysing bikes. presently i ride passion plus. my requirement is stylish bike, with average fuel efficiency, value for money and for long term use (atleast for 10 years).. i can cancel that booking or change the model any time.. so there is no issue on this..i have posted the same question in 250r ownership thread. they said "150 is more of a sports bike vs 250 is more of a relaxed touring bike". i have listed out my requirement below.
I am living in Maraimalai Nagar (20 Km from Tamabarm), chennai. i am 27 years old. working in mahindra city which is 12 km away from my home. i looking for a new bike for commuting purpose. most of the time i will be using the bike to go to my company. . in weekend and holidays sometimes i hang with my friends and go for riding. not every weekend. occasionally i go for a long drive. There are many bikes for commuting. but i want a stylish, reliability and and at least 35- 40km/ ltr fuel efficiency.. my budget is 1 lack. i can spend 50,000 more if it really worth and makes sense...
i am really very much confused... please do advice me on this ...Last edited by Alwin Raj; 12-29-2012, 12:40 PM.

Both bikes are pretty different, and neither will give you the fuel efficiency you want out of them. The CBR150R will give you around 35kmpl in city riding, which goes up to 40-45kmpl on the highway. The CBR250 will give even less. Other than that, both are beautiful bikes, with the CBR150R being a little smaller in dimensions. But the way you ride them are very different. The 150 is a high revving engine, you have to give it the beans to move fast, but that doesnt mean its not usable. It is definitely drive-able at city speeds. Its suspension set-up is also harder than the 250, which means its much more stable and easy to control while cornering. The 250 has a much softer setup, it glides on bad roads, but does seem a little unsettled in corners.
Both bikes are brilliant, its upto what sort of bike you like as a rider. Both bikes can be used for touring as well. You should go and test drive them both, and see what suits you best. Remember, you are going to be using the bike everyday, so go for the one that you find most comfortable and manageable.

Mine is the red and white. The decals on the bike are slightly different. The 250 should give between 25 and 33 depending on how its ridden.Originally posted by Alwin Raj View PostThanks lenov.. which bike you have owned ..? looks like CBR150R vibrant orange.... the same color i have booked..
