CBR 250R's cost nearly Rs 955 (incl tax exclusive labor); you're having Honda, not Harley

Please check with the honda ASC/insurance, I am not sure whether the body damage is covered in the insurance.
Yeah, that's the problem. See thee bike, admire it, sit on it and if needed ask for the keys but please at least don't drop it man

No worry, Yes it's covered under insurance. For cosmetic part (like in your case) it's 50% they cover and for main engine part it's 90%(as told to me by Bajaj allianz Ins. co.).
ASC said its 100% but as aargee said it's within 1000 or so, then it won't be any HUGE burden on the pocket. It's not about the cost but a damage which creates a sadness whenever I see it. I worked damn hard to earn this bike. Anyways...

Left fairing had a scratches and a big CRACK (cry) and the left cowl (I don't know what it is called) had a crack too. (Pics attached).

Really disappointed with the build quality.

Looking at the second pic, its kindof hard to believe that the rear panel cracked due to impact considering the fact that it wasnt the outermost protruding area to recieve the impact.. Did it fall on a rock or something?

I wouldn't advise you or anyone to claim insurance for such a small amount. Seriously, there are clauses in the Insurance papers that may stop you or pose problem for you if you go for more than 1 claims in an year. Save your claims for bigger things. Even if the price was 2500-3000, I would have suggested to spend it from your own pocket.

First of all, I wish there should not be accidents at all. BTW, there is a reason why we got insurance and you claiming not to claim insurance for smaller amount is baffling. Small or big, we have to claim insurance. And there is this depreciation for each year which further reduces the percentage of claim.

That's precisely I pointed out the fact of reading the clause. We have different insurance parties mate with different clauses. Don't get angry/baffled at this. Its a small amount and if there are no clauses in the insurance that points out at multiple claims in an year will depreciate the claim value then one can go ahead and claim it. There is a NO CLAIM BONUS thing too. If you don't claim any insurance for a specific period of ownership of a vehicle, then after that period your insurance is renewed without you paying anything. See, long term benefit of not claiming for small things. For further inputs on No Claim Bonus contact the thread starter of Pulsar 200NS.

Dont do anything. It`s not a problem. Even they didn`t change mine. Also the ASC told that there is no such thing as oil filter in our bikes.

The NO CLAIM is an advantage. But see, if all try to skip the claim for small amounts, its a lot of profit for the insurance company. I myself got a No Claim advantage for my DIO.

Same. But when we see the back side of the 1st service coupon, it says "change the oil filter"

                            • Hi,

My bike fell down yesterday as it was not properly placed on level ground. But, again the footrests came to the rescue. All the load of the bike was managed by the side mirror and the footrests. No scrates on the body, neither a dent, only the left side mirror screw has loosened. I think those cribbing on the quality of the bike should notice this comment and take my word, "the quality of this bike is just perfect". 2 falls and not a single scratch. The footrests and rear view mirrors seem to be saving my day.

                              Regards,

                              • my cbr 150r

                                Hi people.
i thought of writing this ownership review of my first bike.
                                The cbr 150r.

The cbr150r belongs to the category of a sports tourer.
It has a 150cc 4valve, 4 stroke engine that produces 17.6 bhp of power and around 12.6NM of torque.
Being a sports tourer it has a pretty comfortable riding position.

Now lets take this in parts and start with the performance of the bike.
The engine as i already told produces 17.6 bhp of power and 12.6nm of torque.
that is good enough considering it to be a 150 cc..
In terms of acceleration the bike comes out to its true character only past 6000 rpm.
below that the bike pulls really slow..
yes this is one of the cons of the bike.
the bike has a bit poor low end torque.
but i upgraded to an iridium spark plug that helped a lot to tackle that issue.
after that it felt much better.
the cbr is a revv friendly bike and prefers to be riden a bit high on rpms.
the engine is silky smooth and does not vibrate much even till 10000rpm.
it is perfect for touring and can easily cruise at 100 kmph constantly without any glitches.
the bike has amazing high end power.
the engine comes to life past 5000 rpm and keeps on climbing eagerly till the 11,500 limit with not much glitches.
top speed of the bike is claimed to be 146kmph but i personally have achieved 152..

                                the handling
the handling of the cbr 150 r is pretty good actually.
the light weight and the superb chassy add to this.
it is pretty flickable in and out of turns.
although not as good as the r15 due to more height.

                                braking.
braking is not an issue as the bike comes with both front and rear disk brakes.
sure footed as well under heavy deceleration.

now one of the most important aspects.
                                the mileage.
i personally get around 35- 38 kmpl when riding hard enough to keep yourself entertained.
also once i had gone for a short trip with a pillon and was cruising around 70-80 kmph.
                                i managed an astonishing 46kmpl.

some of the cons of the bike are that it does not have a pass light switch.
also it does not have a kill switch which is found even in the basic commuter bikes therse days.
when my bike was new and had done only a few kilometers the gear shifter used to feel a bit clanky and stiff.
but that problem vanished off with some hundred kilometers on my bike.
other than that this bike is pretty good.
                                costs around 1,18,000 ex showroom.

any other questions or comments are most welcome.
