Hey dude , May i know what bike do you currently own ? Or do you have any plans to go for this Little CBR ?
I own a Bullet Electra 5S and a yamaha FZ-S. To answer your other question, Yes, I'll definitely go for the CBR150R if I'll buy a motorcycle of upto 200cc capacity because I just love the whole package. The only reason for me for not going for this baby CBR will be the need for a more powerful motorcycle (250cc or above), and not the absence of some switches!

Both my current motorcycles have an engine kill switch and the pass light switch, and I use them (because they are there). BUT, I would enjoy both my motorcycles equally without any of these switches. Incidentally, my Bullet's pass light switch stopped working more than couple of years back, and I never bothered to get it fixed. As I mentioned in my previous post, I use the hi/low beam buttons to simply flash the light to the vehicle ahead. To be absolutely honest, I sometimes find the engine kill switch a bit irritating to use. I mean, you first turn on the key and then turn on the engine kill switch, and then finally press the starter button!!

I hope I have answered the questions to your satisfaction. If there was any other reason to ask, please let me know.

You should definitely contact honda customer service and place a complaint... There is no excuse for shoddy service, especially if some one is shelling out over 100,000rs of his hard earned money to buy their product... Unless you let the customer service guys know, they will not be able to tackle it... Good luck...

P.s. pics pics we want pics!!! Lol
I also thought of complaining, and later thought let it be. But now I think I will complaint so that other buyers will not face these problems.

          Will post more snaps later

Back in the days of my 2-stroke era, I never knew what was a pass light button nor an engine kill switch. All we used to do in signals were to just release the clutch in 1st gear with front brakes on and that did the trick.

Shocking to see how things have changed and such small things are being slowly taken for granted.
I completely agree with engine kill switch; its just a minor niggle. But, removing pass switch is not a minor niggle. Pass switch is an important security feature while you ride on highways and while you overtake. Its a form of communication that can avoid unwanted confusion.

People say the switch gear is from Stunner, but Stunner has a pass switch. When a lower bike has pass switch why not on CBR150R which costs 1.3 lacs? Was there a design challenge faced by Honda engineers for this pass switch? When I saw the bike I was really shocked to see there is no pass switch.

Apart from this, the bike is excellent as a whole package. Fit and finish is good, which may not be equal to R15 V2. The bike is one hell of a looker and looks lot better than its elder sibling 250. The front is a stunner.

Hope there will not issues like its elder sibling.

                • Congos to all current owners and upcoming ones as well. The windscreen looks cool which more or less contributes to the look factor.

Agree with u totally, the pass switch is indeed a very important feature, don't know how could the engineers at honda miss out on such small but important thing.
Even the Ninja 250 doesn't come with a pass switch though it has engine kill switch.

There is a reason why Ninja does not come with a pass switch. Think about it, I will give a minute

I will give you a hint DRL (daytime running lights)

                        Still wondering why?

Long explanation : Ninja is always on low beam. And the low high beam switch will be sufficient. Pass indicator is useful only when you are not running you main beam ( and ninja's is always on ).

Sounds like you had a blast! A few questions:
                          • 1135km completed, are you done with your first service? Would like to know the costs incurred and any difference in feel of the bike.
                          • 132 @ 8500+rpm! That's awesome! Was this sitting upright or crouched?

                          • Great to see happy cbr150r owners An important question, has any of the owners faced engine heating issues so far? Asking this because excessive heating in new engine happens many times and some other motorcycle owners are experiencing this. Please share.

Most new engines will heat up because of extra friction from the parts bedding in.. That's what the run-in period is for! i'm sure the CBR150R won't be any different. But yeah, lets hear from owners. My R15 used to fry my legs in traffic!

OT: Did not follow you. Given the Ninja has it's low beam always on, how does it eliminate the need for a pass switch?

I mean, I can understand the pass switch is not a necessity as such, but it definitely is a boon on the road and using the lo-hi beam toggle switch is not that instinctive while asking for a pass.
