Actually its bothOriginally posted by Satellite.kid View PostMay be the ground is not perfectly leveled or may be the cbr250r leans slightly bit more while on side stand. Could be anything
...but it's just a 7mm difference which is not easy to see!
From the pics, u can see the bikes arent on a levelled surface
And secondly the 250R is too heavy for the stand it comes with thus it tends to lean further towards the standGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

P.S. To a layman, however, they're VERY similar. Thanks for the replies ...Originally posted by neoakshay View PostThanks man! I'm on top of the world today! I'm seeing many positive reviews about the 150R on FB, and it's making me even more ecstatic about my decision!

They're very similar. The CBR150R is shorter in length, but taller in height. You can tell the difference mainly by tyres and colours.
Thinking of buying the 250 some time soon .. but for the Hyosung 250.. and the Yamaha 250 in the news!

Congratulations on your new bike!!!Originally posted by SrinathR View PostDruvdesh Honda
I was made to go to each department holding on my booking form, first to delivery section which was crowded, had to really wait for some time only to be told to call the sales rep. The sales rep had to give him the folder which was just laying on the table next to him.
They had goofed up by putting someone else's insurance in my file.... So next to insurance department.. Here again the agent was busy explaining his colleague that someone had filled the insurance form upside down, another 15 min gone....
Then to the security, just to sign in their record.... It was raining profusely and people were waiting in the rain to sign. Another 15 mins... I mean why should a customer go through all these formalities ? Can't they keep everything ready, just get our sign and hand over the key !
I was feeling like I was getting some work done in a Government department
And finally i could see my bike.
The best part ! the explanation about the bike, the guy was in a great hurry, he told me how to start the bike, how to switch on the light, indicator etc and that's it. Din't tell me about what precautions I should take like speed limit, coolant level, brake fluid etc.
And now comes the most annoying part, I had inspected the vehicle earlier and there was a scratches on the silencer covering. The sales rep had promised me to replace it while delivering. Instead of replacing they had tried buffing and the scratch hadn't gone. The sales rep promised me that they will replace during my first service
I had inspected the vehicle a day before and there was no scratches earlier.
The last vehicle I bought was a Honda city. My delivery was like a ceremony !
They had arranged a pundit to do pooja, all the staff had assembled to congratulate me while handing over the key, they process was so nice, it makes the owner feel so proud.....

You should definitely contact honda customer service and place a complaint... There is no excuse for shoddy service, especially if some one is shelling out over 100,000rs of his hard earned money to buy their product... Unless you let the customer service guys know, they will not be able to tackle it... Good luck...

Nope, since the wiring to the kill switch & pass switch is missing on the 150R, 250R's switchgear is not a direct fit. Suitable modifications can be done though.Originally posted by christo View Postcan't we replace cbr150R's switch gears with 250R's??

Yes, a pass light switch and/or an engine kill switch are helpful. But not everything that is helpful deteriorates the riding/ownership experience if it's not there. So, a pass light switch is very common and is welcome, but if it's not there then I don't see how really bad it can be! I normally just switch between hi/low beam when I have to flash the light to the vehicle ahead, at night!
When I went to check out the motorcycle, I didn't even care to notice about these switches. I just wanted to see the overall looks, fit and finish. I am sure that there are much better things to discuss about the cbr150r than the missing switches! Personally, I do not believe that the inclusion or lack of these two switches in question enhances or deteriorates the ownership experience in any way. I mean I would have something to complain, for example, if Honda wouldn't provide the rear view mirrors! The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

I can't do without Engine Kill Switch. What I mean to say is that I find it weird to turn keys to temporary switch off the engine say in Traffic signals, while answering phone calls etcOriginally posted by Satellite.kid View PostWhat's the big deal with missing engine kill switch and pass light switch? I mean really! Does it make the rider handicap in anyway?!Last edited by Greymatter; 04-29-2012, 04:46 PM.2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

For bikes without a pass light switch, there's always a "Hi/low" beam switch you can make use of at night and the headlight "On/off" switch during daytime.
For the kill switch, i only use it at signals when the timer is say more than 20seconds. Otherwise i just put it to neutral and wait for those 20seconds to pass. Nothing against technology but i think people cribbing about "kill switch" just because they feel its weird to just "Turn the key" to off position reminds me of how lazy we the humans are.
Seriously i don't get why people crib over the lack of two switches. Its not like you havent ridden bikes without these switches.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

frankly speaking, first of all, YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SPEAK ON PHONE WHILE RIDING. Also, if you can push a button while talking on phone, you can as well turn the key offOriginally posted by Greymatter View PostI can't do without Engine Kill Switch. Secondly, cribbing about missing engine kill switch? so you might also miss the self cancelling indicators, Side stand down indicator, Gear indicator??
these are minor niggles which should not stop someone from buying this bike..Suffering from Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

It honestly freaks me out when i see people cribbing over how a couple of buttons are missing on an otherwise fine specimen.
Back in the days of my 2-stroke era, I never knew what was a pass light button nor an engine kill switch. All we used to do in signals were to just release the clutch in 1st gear with front brakes on and that did the trick.
Shocking to see how things have changed and such small things are being slowly taken for granted.______________________________________

Been following the thread for sometime. Never had time to post. Finally
.
I own the R15 V2. At first when i heard the OTR for CBR150, i thought here comes another mistake from HONDA. But the recent posts and owners reviews i must say has put some confidence and positive feel about the bike in me. Now i am very much looking forward to seeing the bike in flesh and test riding it.
And to all people who have been trolling this new ownership thread and posting crap. Please spare it for the joy of the owners. A DOHC 11.5k RPM revving engine, 55w headlights and good looks of the CBR150r is somewhere i wont mind spending my money. On the other hand, my V2 is as good as it gets for the money its being offered. Each bike is good in its own way. Respect that !
That said, the only one reason why i kept away from HONDA before buying my V2 was solely for the biggest letdown that HONDA has earned in the last year. Its customer satisfaction. Not sure what HMSI is upto, but the showroom sales and service centers are overflowing with idiots and morons. And there is a very good reason for that. Thats a whole different topic and a discussion some other day.
Hope more owners join in and make this thread a beautiful place. Good luck.
