  • test ride....

I'll test ride the bike this weekend and see how it feels in comparison to R15. Also one thing that I have felt is, it doesn't matter which bike one own as long as one enjoys riding it... I used to own Discover 125 but I enjoyed riding it... having the same fun with R15 but feeling a bit safer and quicker....

What oil grade is recommended ?
What is the engine oil capacity (means how much oil is required for oil change) ?

And then we will cross the spares bridge when we reach it.
it should be 1 litre of 10w-30 JASO MA oil..
maybe with minimum API SL, maybe some owners want to share?
btw, it should run fine with 10w-40 oil if the climate temps are too hot

Yes, we can stop it here coz you don't want to accept CBR150 is overpriced. Just remember that 20k would have become 40k in 5 years and you would still have another 20k to offset
R15 on road price in Bangalore before April was 1.26L so add excise duty post budget, the market price should be around 1.3L so the actual difference btw cbr150 & R15 is around 10K. I personally feel this should not matter if you like the bike.
Doubling money is entirely a different story, not appropriate to be discussed here.

        • Guys is there any proper review of this bike in this thread anywhere or only the comparision of my *** is longer than yours..

Kindly Owenres Please make a good review of the bike with the pros and cons of this Bike alone. But not any comparisions, this will be alot helpful for the people who are considering to buy this machine.

          • I am a prospective buyer of CBR150r. I have been following this thread since the day it was created to get to know about this bike but have been disappointed.
Most of the people here agree that Yamaha R15 may be a better value for money than CBR150 but it does not meet some key requirements of prospective buyers like me. 1. Pillion Seat 2. Riding Position and comfort.
There is no point beating the dead horse again.
I would have loved to buy R15 if I was still in college and having a girlfriend

Can we have some more posts focusing on the CBR please.

              • @sidheshD: have you taken a test ride of cbr yet? If not, please do so. The riding (most important) feedback from the owners so far have been really positive. Please don't get disheartened, cbr150r seems to be a really good motorcycle with slightly better practicality. You can definitely go for it.

                • saving a few pennies here and there... is it even worth discussing? on bikes that are considered premium. If this was splendor or a commuter bike I would've agreed. Both are expensive (R15 & CBR) in my opinion. But both are worth it in my opinion. If you feel its not worth the price keep it to yourself. Do not discourage prospective buyers. If honda will not find enough takers for this price, they will reduce it.

I have not been able to do a test ride. That is another reason for not booking a bike yet. I am in Mumbai and have been to Pilot Honda and Sai Honda Automobiles. Both do not have a bike available for test ride. Read in some forum that Vihaan Honda in Thane does have a bike available for TD. I might check out this Saturday.

I really dont care and it does not matter to me(atleast directly) if any one else buys the cbr or the r15 or any other bike. I said so based on what I see and what I have experienced in the 9 months of ownership of my ride. We are 2 roomies, one(myself) with the 250r and the other with the R15 V1. You really dont need a microscope and x-rays to check the difference in the part quality and the overall finishing.
However I knew of it even before I bought the bike and I accepted it AND I LOVE IT!!!!
For the price I paid (I FEEL) there is no other better ride in the market!!

                      Sorry for the OT guys.
Wish to see more of CBR150R reviews and experiences by the owners. Am a bit surprised there are only 2 till date in this thread!! Correct me if am wrong..
If even the owners keep saying bike is of low quality, it creates a perception of bikes reliability. Often it influences purchase decision. I wonder how bajaj got away with quality of bikes they offer. almost all their bikes require chain set replacement after few kms, so I have heard. agreed they are cheap, but still, if you want to talk of low quality, that is low quality.

Yep so true on that buddy...Got my bike chain sprocket kit for Rs 1100, The odo said 34,000kms yeah that was very few, right after delivery i guess.

Coming back to the topic. Had a chance to see the bike in flesh, being 6feet i could not manage to sit on it in a comfy manner... Are there any ways to lower the seat height or something.
                        The firing was fluttering type!!!

@Members how is the running in going??

I would definately but my Local RTO isnt ready yet for registration of this bike Anyway I can do tell u the bike behaves very well in traffic even with a pillion. The acceleration is excellent and so is the stability is awesome.

I had a lot of qualms before buying a fully faired bike as I had never ridden
one before.. I took a test ride on the 250 initially as 150 wasnt available back then.. Then came 150 for test ride. I took a ride and loved the way it handled. Even now after buying the bike I maintain my opnion
