It would not be right to comment without taking a proper test ride.

      I wouldn't say that--

Have rode all three & also the cbr250, the 150R is definitely more planted & comfortable on corners

A full blown race track review will give exact data & feedback soon

have been riding my ZMA for well over 5 years and was eagerly waiting for the new baby cbr to launch, as i almost made my mind to go for the r15 v2.0 as i didnt like the cbr250r, but when i heard the news of the new cbr coming i held myself back from putting the money on the table

saw the red/white combo at a local dealer few days back a well was disappointed to say the least
-at my city the 150r costs at Rs. 1,34,000 on road while the r15 is 10k cheaper
-the quality of bits and pieces like switchgear, foot pegs and the black finish on the clipons, engine cover, front shock absorbers are pathetic for a bike priced this much
-although didnt get a opportunity to test ride but a torque of 13Nm!!!!!!!!
-did you guys notice the yawning gap between the rear tire and the mudguard?? its so un proportional
-and with few graphics they call the variant "deluxe"

correct me if i am wrong on the above points

although the size of the 150r is bigger and the riding position is also bit relaxed, i somehow find it very difficult to put 1.34 lacs on the table for it

if yamaha can provide a quality product at 1.24lacs i cant find a reason why honda cant provide the same at 1.34lacs??
I agree with u when u say its overpriced but performance-wise
it doesnt disappoint... Dont get misguided by the torque figure
even at low revs there is no lack of punch..

R15 though a good bike doesnt provide a
          1) Decent pillion seat
          2) relaxed riding postion
          3) DOHC (to which many would say in a 4 Valve setup is no better than a SOHC )

If you dont mind these disadvantages then u can go for the R15 as its economical buy..

But, dude I suggest you take a test ride before u make a choice...

I test rode the CBR 150 and I liked it so I went for it..

                  • Checked out the Honda CBR150R today at a showroom.. can't believe that it is priced Rs. 10K-15K over the Yamaha R15.. found the seat cover material and plastic quality same as the CBR250R. The painted surface looks ok, just that the black plastics seems to have got the cost cutting treatment.

The plastic around the speedo console looks better on the CBR250R.. the footpeg + rubbers seems out of place on a 1 Lakh Plus bike (even the footpegs on the Yamaha SS 125 are classy and operate with a click).

Overall no where near the levels of fit and finish set by the R15 and the KTM 200 Duke.

What is unbelievable is that at Rs. 1.30-1.35 Lakhs you don't get an Engine Kill Switch or a High beam flasher, plus the switchgear looks to have been picked from the CBF Stunner..!!

The only saviour could be it's ride experience.

                        +100 For your Questions ..

Hey Guys . If you talk about the Engine Kill switch ,High Beam Flasher , Switch Gear and Switches are like same as the Stunner means , Those "2" Owners who owns the GREAT CBR 150 r and other CBR 150 Lovers will again repeat these Stuffs ..

                        1. It has DOHC Blah Blah Blah Blah & they say these things din't disappoint them and it is product from HONDA and Finally they say take a test ride for checking the Low end blah blah blah ..

But , they won't give appropiate answer for your queries ( i.e why no Engine Kill switch etc )

On the hole , there is no use for asking these questions in this Thread ...

BeTrayed, what most you have done in this thread is "+1" to any post that tries to show the cbr in a bad light. It seems you have a keen eye on this thread and just waiting for any such post. True, without the engine kill switch and the pass light switch the cbr150r owners have become handicapped and they won't be able to enjoy or ride properly their motorcycles as much as others do. Moreover, nobody other than honda itself can tell you why the bike is missing these features, please ask them and let us know what they tell you. Even the owners agree that the cbr150r is unnecessarily expensive but still they went for it because they like how it ride or for whatever reason they had. No, the "2" owners will not talk about the dohc or any positive about the cbr because for you it would seem like the act of desperation. But it's a pitty the way you pointed at the two owners. I guess you are happy that they have wasted their money on an overpriced motorcycle.

And guess what, I own a Yamaha. May be moderators can lock this thread because this thread tends to loose its purpose thanks to the above post. Healthy comparisons are never a problem but some people just want to take a dig at the motorcycle in discussion.

Please go few pages back in this thread and read the initial impressions from the owners about the bike. Regarding the missing switches and the "overpriced" factor, there's already a general agreement that it would have been better if those were given and the price was lower. Can we please move on now and concentrate on how the motorcycle behaves?
Not just the "missing" switches, but the finish of the black plastics, foot pegs, seat cover material used and over all fit is not befitting that of a product which costs Rs. 1.30-1.35 lakhs (CBR150R) & Rs. 1.60-1.85 lakhs (CBR250R).

A "Premium" product should also give the "look + touch + feel" of money well spent.
