      168 till now..
has gone upto 6k in last 2 gears.
and less than 4k for other gears..
      what about oil change?
service guy told to do it after 750km..

ITs ur wish. Atleast u drive 200 to 250 km before the first oil change. I did at 420km. I only pushed to revs above 7k after 800 kms. If u drive a lot, you will make the 500 kms soon.

and it seems correct since it has a dohc engine , which means it should be revved hard to get power.
i thought it would be around 7k comparing the range of rpm meter.
and the cbr mechanic told that there is no limit like 5k for this one. just be gentle while accelerating.
          what should be the conclusion??
There are two types of running method:

          Type 1:

You don't cross your bike over 60kmph and no hard acceleration or racing or braking.

          Type 2:
You ride as above but some times you give a burst till 80-100kmph and when over 750kms going 100+kmph some time only.

After 1200-1500kms, try with all possibilities before second SVc.

In type 1 you get better possibilities of mileage and top end.
In type 2 which i followed got better top end and mileage too.
if you are following type 2 then change your engine oil and air filter in 2nd service too.

Actually in type 2 your bike's piston and blocks gets a hit of higher rpm which makes it well verse with piston and block play!

But this solely depend on your taste!! I never bother for mileage earlier! So took a chance, don't know how will it act on DOHC

                • Honda already had a great ad for the 150R. I dont think they used it for the Indian ad.

The Casey Stoner ad is the first ad for the bike. They could have used that same ad in here.

                    • The Casey Stoner ad is awesome, wish they'd aired it here. Would surely do well with all the MotoGP wannabe youth.

As for run-in, Honda themselves don't specify any RPM or speed limit in its manual (unlike, say my old RTR160).

As a sidenote, I rode the baby ceeber for a week after I bought it, left it at home and am now thinking of it all the time. I don't think I've been this crazy even about girls Going home in a couple of weeks to ride it back to Bangalore. The reunion sure is going to be sweet.

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)
