Nope. They told me to get it in the evenings. But it was rainy yesterday so i gotta get those Mirrors and Saree guard. But i guess that saree guard and mirrors are gonna make the bike look somewhat Bad. But being safety my first preference i will have to put them

Today morning i took the bike for a ride (at 6:45am).
    Just did a 0-110 test.

I ended up 0-110 with 16 seconds (approx).
(Extra info : The road was wet and i didnt have enough confidence on braking. And i do not have a licence too. So its better to stay below 100 for now )

Man, do u know anything such as run-in?? Are u planning on getting a license?

Saree guard might be useful sometimes!

Front -25, Rear -29 (Without Pillion)
Front -25, Rear -33 (With Pillion)

ITs also written in a sticker near the rear sprocket area in the bike

            • Finished the second service today. Not much good service. They say there is no Stock for even a Allen screw. At least he said that, he will phone me when they will get the glass cover for the analog tacho( Mine had lot of cracks) and replace it free. I started the bike and idled for 1 min. Then I moved. After going 100 metres, I depressed the clutch and bam, the engine stopped. After 15 seconds, I started and it refused to start after 2 tries. So I called the mechanic and he came in and he turned the throttle fully and closed the throttle before starting. Then it started. I said, How can it happen? He said there might be a block in the fuel line. Then after some 1 km, it again stopped. I followed the same method and it started. Then I filled the petrol for 100 and I didnt have a problem till I reached home. Have to do a 40 km ride in the weekend(Still not satisfied)

The hard gear issues is ok for now. There is no smoothness in the gears, but I think it will be smooth after some kms.

132 with pillion.. Thats unbelievable.. My bike struggles a lot with a pillion.. In fact, i am not able enjoy riding if i got a pillion, so mostly avoiding anyone from getting on my bike when i ride..

I rode all alone on ECR till Pondicherry and returned back. Couldn't spend time to take snaps as i was late to reach there. Yes, it took lot of time and promises to get APPROVAL from my family (Wondering how ppl have done SS as simple as that). Started from home at 3.30 pm. Moved slowly till Perumbakkam and once i reached ECR, revved fast. I thought ECR would be nice though aware of insane 4 wheelers, and beleived there will be many fuel stations that will accept card...but in reality only one accepted and nowhere you can find ATM once you pass Mahabalipuram. MY CBR did a fabulous job. Just a act of balance saved me from a speeding red Santro Xing in the opposite direction overtaking the other. They were 3 cars coming parallel from the opposite direction and i am in 80s. This happened before Mutukadu. After Mahabalipuram somewhere a calf came in front of me all of a sudden...what to expect...i tried brakes hard , with my rear tire skided ( not let me down) and just missed hitting the calf. Punched myself for not watching the calf. One more instance happened with a mad man crossing the road on a turn. He is really mad. I had 150 bugs only in my purse and after being let down by few fuel station got worried and afraid. Only three bars showing (most of it used up) and i am not even half way to Pondicherry. Finaly filled the tank in HP station. Till here it was full of drama followed by smooth ride till Pondicherry. Just clicked that Pondicherry arch on the highway and Pondicherry University. My camera showed no internal memory, delete some images ??? I forgot memory card. Even otherwise i would not have spent much time in clicks and i reached there only at 5.45 pm and it almost dark because of just finished rain. Bought some snacks / fancy articles and headed back to Tambaram at 6.20 pm. I was scary as though i am in some alein territory. Eagerly looked for TN vehicles who are on there way to Chennai just for a company. All i could see were PY number plates only. Rode some 20 kms away from Pondi..it was pitch dark. THUT...a bat banged on my face just below my left eye through the helmet. Later some time i found a sumo passing me...luckily TN number plate. I just followed at the same speed ( 80 to 95). It is safe to ride behind 4 wheeler at considerable distance in dark as you can avoid unexpected intervension. Inside Sumo there were some guys staring at my Bike as it glides effortless. That was like boost to me...and i rode tirelessly following the Sumo till some place before Covelong where it stopped for break. Finally i reached home at 8.45 pm. Total distance travelled 280 kms (virtually non stop) ..did not realy pinch hard. Lost the balancer in my Left handle bar on the way to Pondi. I didnt see it got loosened and fell off on road.
                    Thats all for now.
PS: I am not posting this here for show off...i am aware this is just childs play for Touring GURUS here.

I also planned to take a ride to pondi last week.. But felt somewhat lazy and i dont have gloves.. My hands are getting numb just for a 45 kms ride ( My office is 45 kms from my house).. and i hate this...

I tried to get through online.. got one from snapdeal.. 300 rupees.. it was a crap.. just throwed in the dustbin immedietely wen i saw it..

GUYS, pls help me on this.. where can i get some good pair of glove .. preferebly fingerless.. My budget is not beyond 1000 rupeess..

                      .
Natural, need not to worry, you will see the engine so smooth after 80 kmph.

45kms one side and 90kms both side???

And you brought a CBR 150 ??? Why not a TBTS or electra?? ANd daily riding to office would be boring ?? I ride 40kms both side and i am bored daily, we can't race daily to be entertained!!

Mostly why din't you opt for car like alto or Eon with CNG ?? That would have been more affordable on daily route ??

You will finish your SVC very quick!!

you race professionally with your bike occasionally?

or do you term weekend sprints as a race.

any bike for daily commute is absolutely okay depending on the rider -- when an r15 can do 100 kms daily office commute for two years, rest everything should be notch higher on the comfort level

Daily 100kms for 2 yrs ?? is it by choice or by need?

I never felt R15 as comfortable for daily ride!! where as i won't like other bike either!! But still i consider R15 or CBR 150 or 250 only as occasional ride, where we can enjoy the bike nicely!! But daily makes boring for me!!

Basically for daily ride it should be comfortable relax bike like RE !! i ride 80% highway daily!
