Not exactly issues on my 200NS, but with the simota filter, I had my doubts. Since there is no direct fit stock replacement filter for the NS from simota, the one used in my bike is the N250's and the air box was cut up a little to make it fit. I was very worried if unfiltered air was getting into the engine coz a little 1mm gap exists to this day between the filter and the filter box. I just wanted to get back to stock because that would mean zero worries or doubts but now I'm fine with it. Will not make any upgrades either.

I agree. A minute perceptible difference only. Nothing like 1-5 Bhp increase, like how some are mislead.

After 1st service of my cbr 150 there is some hissing sound from the chain the service center technician does not acknowledge it. What should I do?

Rub his head on the chain and ask if he can hear it now. :P :P

Go to another SVC, get it checked there, if they ask for a charge, blatantly say no, and complain to Honda hat this problem should have been checked in the first service but it's because of inefficiency of the technician that it wasn't resolved. Good luck!

Thank you. And one more thing, how to get the most mileage from my bike? At what rpm should I ride and shift gears. This is my first bike so I don't know much. And now after 1st service can I exceed the 50 kmph limit.?

Yes you can now exceed 50 araam se!! you could have done it before service also, but anyways...
I get 45+ mileage on highways only (my max is 49).
In city the max I can get is 37-38kmpl, that too if the traffic allows me to use the 6th gear.
In an average, I get around 36kmpl, when shifting in 6.5~7k range (single rider only).
With pillion I get below 34kmpl.

Note: These figures are from my personal experience only. Others may have variations, depending on road conditions and driving pattern.
            Being a 150cc mini-sports bike, I think it returns a decent mileage.

I get a decent mileage in the range of 40-45 kmpl.
It drops depending on how aggressively you drive.

i'm a bit of an aggressive rider and i rarely get to go to 6th gear :P (sometimes i end up not using it for days :P ) generally riding in mixed traffic condition and if i rev it medium i easily manage to get 36~37 kmpl!! (this is if you rarely cross 8~9 everyday) else it goes to 32~34 kmpl.
According to me this is the best you can ask for, considering a high revving 150cc minion sports bike :P
and it was without a pillion that i checked it.

ive checked just Once on the highway but was with a pillion, this was on the kanakpura highway towards shivasamudram falls from bangalore, total weight on the bike was approx 140 and most of the time i was 105~120 kmph and i could rarely maintain the 6th gear to cruise but i got a mileage of 38~39kmpl which i think is kinda decent....actually superb for the riding style and the weight (while returning it was raining so maybe i saved a bit on the traction :P lol )

Again as dhiman said this is based on my riding style and the variation in traffic i face and the weight on the bike

Bullshit! Don't go for it, what they basically use is an abrasive polish, it's not protective and also, swirl marks.
                        @bloodseeker- Not really. :P

I never had any problems before first service for them to be rectified, but I have pushed my bike, went on a 600 km trip around mumbai with my brother, we both weigh more than 70kgs, about 15kg luggage tied with bungee cords and his camera bag and tripod, definitely more than 15kg, so we had approximately 180kg on bike all the time. We stayed at lighthouse at Uttan and Korlai, had some contacts (Don't ask for me to help you though, they are not really that strong contacts, sorry folks), bike returned a mileage of 35kmpl, a bit disappointing, but if you consider that at Uttan I had to travel a steep uphill about ten times with pillion and luggage, and also 1km pure off roading to reach Korlai lighthouse, and 30 kms of pathetic roads from Alibaug to Korlai, I think the bike returned a decent mileage.

Also, now that I have redlined it many times, the bike builds up revvs quicker and is smoother, before the trip, it was smooth till 8k rpm, after that, the engine used to howl and vibrate a bit, now, it still howls, but vibrates less and goes up quicker.

So new riders, don't drive Cbr150r like splendor, read the manual, even before first service it says to avoid only full throttle starts and sudden bursts of acceleration, no speed or rpm restriction.

Will post photos when I get them from my brother. :P

Also, new high speed record for me, before this I did 121 about which I posted, now, I did 124 with pillion and all the luggage, the bike could have done more but my brother was pissed off sitting behind. :P

                        Loving it!

Also, bike doesn't have low end torque, rev it 5k rpm before pulling from first, and observe your pillion cursing at you to drive slow. :P

                            Need advice on clutch use.

While slowing down in traffic, is it a good habit to hold the clutch in until you stop, or is it better to release the clutch and let the engine braking happen?
Can anyone give a little detail about the advantage/disadvantage of both?

Clutch should be used only to change gears and nothing else!

Else, you burn your clutch plates.

Presuming that you know about engine braking, when done at right engine speed, you will have better control of your bike. Going by what you said, holding the clutch well before will result in increased clutch wear and reduce in FE.
