  • My honda dealer didnt provide me the service manual for my bike. The time running on my speedometer is wrong. I thought of changing it. But no luck for me. If possible someone tell me how. Or if you find any .pdf's of the service manual please share the link. Thanks in advance.

Press both the buttons on the meter console simultaneously to enable changing the clock and adjust accordingly. That should do your cause i suppose.

      • Did a tour to my native. 400+54+400. I ripped this time to 8-9 k a lot. This is the first time Im revving to this much since my purchase. Since I packed my saddle bags with improper weight, I was having some balance issues. Also there was a lot of wind. The fun ride was a 18 km ride from my native to another town. The road is full of turns and wide too. The bike is balanced at all turns and my adrenaline was gushing. I never rode any two wheeler like this before. It was confident to ride CBR 150R. Planning to goto Javvadhu Hills this Diwali. IS it a good place to go??

In my native, a duke rider passed me and the pillion of the duke said that my bike is ugly!! I was laughing inside.

Yes go to full synthetic after 3500 kms. ITs not a hard rule, but everyone here have crossed 4000 kms max, so all are learning about the bike. By the way, Honda is using SS oil.

                    • Boasting of your street racing experience on xbhp is a big no no. Nomatter who provokes you, always adhere to traffic rules and stay within speed limits in the city or on the highway. Just because somebody incites the urge to race, doesnt mean you fall for it. It doesnt matter if you think you're the Rossi of your city or the Stoner of your state, whenecver you race on public roads you put pedestrians lives at risk. So lets all stop boasting about the whole "I beat this guy on that bike" thing and discuss more about the bike we own and how it performs.

IF you really want to boast, take it to the track.. thats all there is to say..

Btw i have no issues with Dukers. I always get a nod or the pass light signal from them as a token of respect (i guess) That's what biking is all about.

and still thats what you are doing? STREET RACING??? 15 years of riding skills will be of no use when a 15 year old teen will come right across on road.... when you are such a skilled rider we all expect patience and maturity... please do not street race and do not encourage others for the same....

n ya about CBR 150R v Duke.... well everything depends on rider..... bike is secondary....

OT: One can't really admire one's own things without admiring the good things of others.

Regarding the Road race provocations, There are places where you Win by ignoring rather than beating one.

Ride safe, make it safe for Others.

                            • HELP ME Guys!!

My babe is on her day of second servicing.
"ll take her back today evening.

                              EDIT:

Back from second service and am now in a shock. Am looking onto you all to clear me on this doubt.

My odo is 3.4k and I last changed oil at .5k during first service. Today when I went to get her back after the second service, the ASC people told me that I can take my bike and am not charged anything. I was totally shocked.

The guy who service CBR was called and he told me that the oil was upto the level and no oil change is required. I was like WTF!? In the morning, I specially mentioned to change the engine oil and the guy who checked the bike in even noted that on the job sheet, but in the evening they are like why to change the oil when it is good. They are even saying that they checked the quality of the oil and its viscosity and both are good.

By question is on the basis of,
at the back of 2nd service coupon, it is mentioned to replace engine oil and so is at the back of 3rd and 4th. So, a change is evident for every 3.5k-4k kms. And out of my 3.5k kms, above 95% was on highways and around 100kmph and this include even 2 hours of triple digit speeds a couple of times. I didn't follow any rpm limit for run-in. I just rode as I would right from the day of purchase.

So, what to do now? Am totally in confused state. Help me here guys!

Although, I have told them that I'll back after a couple of weeks and they agreed to change the engine oil, but that too they advised me on just topping up of oil and change is not needed. I don't know why they are so hesitant to change the oil when am willing to pay for it.

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

In my opinion oil change at 500 km is not necessary. I didnt change the oil and it was changed in ASC only in the 2nd service.

I am surprised. Hope chain lube, water service all done.

Now you agree !!. Engine oil change is not needed at 500 kms. May be after a week go and check with ASC and ask them compulsorily to change the oil.

Do they top up engine oil anywhere ??. May be they dont have honda oil in stock. Dont panic. Wait for a week.
