So the question; is it such a big issue that it's a deal breaker? I think not. From all that I have heard and read about the bike, it's a very well engineered bike. For anyone who is interested in hot rodding, it provides a better platform and base for future performance upgrades than the R15. It has some serious potential. Let's say that this bike is Honda's take of its car that is performance enthusiast first choice in this country: the City.
I never said it was a deal breaker for everyone. If you are looking at it as a hot rodding platform, its obvious that you care a rat's behind about the warranty. And if that is the case, you can always go ahead and get CBR250R switchgear if the one on the 150R bothers you. The problem here is most owners do care about warranty and the peace of mind that comes from staying stock.

The point here was, it is a disgrace on the part of Honda that we are having this discussion about the 2nd most expensive bike made in India. And I am happy that the owners also realize this and are trying to do something about it. This is something that doesn't happen with Honda cars and I respect them for that by voting with my wallet.

As for the current City with is soft ride and skinny tyres being a performance enthusiast's wet dream, I am afraid but the Fiesta is a much better bet overall. But this discussion is for another day & place.

P.S.: I was not talking about the kill switch. I don't have HIDs installed on my bike for fear of losing the pass light.
P.P.S.: I have also sent the mail to Honda Customer care for this issue.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      I rest my case.

Hence, the question my friend; Is it a deal breaker? If the bike does not have a good set of switches and a pass-light switch you will not buy it?

      I have a Fiesta 1.6 Duratec

The kill switch is one of the things people are cribbing about. Hence, I gave a personal example to show that I am not talking in air, but rather from experience. The "Ghar ki murgi daal baraabar" comment .

P.P.S.: I have also sent the mail to Honda Customer care for this issue.
My replies in bold. Anyway, will leave this issue at this point.

      • Actually the absence of Kill switch is not bothering me! ITs the absence of pass light switch and the quality of switches used in the bike that is bothering me. And as a customer who spent a lot of money on the bike expecting these two things is a genuine thing.

I hope together we can acheive something.

There should be a volume expectation by Honda for this bike. If they achieve that goal, then we customers are the main reason. After that, they have to fulfill our needs since we made money for them a lot. And producing a new switchgear is not a big deal. Let them sell it as a spare part. People who are interested can buy it. They get money and we get our warranty stayed too.

Wow 6k, that's high and I could not check it at such high rpm for a new bike. It's not done first service yet.

I agree with you the overdrive review was very biased.. Autocar guys did a better one.. Zigwheels and Bike India have very +ve reviews

That is why they are called "High Revving" bikes
And the manual does not say anything about keeping the bike below any certain RPM. It only says "No sudden acceleration"

You can use the Full tank to full tank method.

Fill it up to the brim. Reset trip meter. Use your bike normally for around 200-250 kms. Fill up again to the brim and note the quantity of fuel added. Now,

Mileage = Distance covered on trip meter/ fuel added to fill to brim again.
Live to ride.. ride to forget..

                                Use Full Talk method ..

Fill petrol til the brim.. then ride for some 100-150 kms.. then fill again and check how many litres is required to refill.. then we calculate
