CBR Owners: Have any one of you tried getting remote lock for your steed?

    • I saw a red n white CBR150R on bangalore streets yesterday. The bike indeed is a looker. I think its high time people come over petty issues (no engine kill, pass light) and adore the +ves. Most of the reviews indicate strong performance of this bike.
All the best to the existing and prospective owners, zillion safe miles.

Regarding remote alarm systems, I would suggest to stay away from these unless you upgrade your battery. People still interested can try Xenos. IMO, a better option would be disc locks.

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

I too wanted to put the remote lock, but I thought it would mess the original wiring which in turn voids warranty!
Yup! I did it intenstionally. Did the same with my Previous bike too

              • I was having issues with gear shifts.. I gear wouldnt engage propely and would produce a loud thud upon releasing the clutch.. This was however,
happening intermittently.. I went to SVC today the mechanic said after taking
a test ride.. my clutch was loose and couple of more problems which he didnt
mention but said was minor.. In about 15 mins the bike was returned and the
gear shifts are now fairly smooth..

Any of the owners facing the same ?

I too got the same problem(minus the thud sound), but thankfully not on the first gear. IT happens only 3rd and 4th gear. Sometimes the gear would have engaged before the gear lever is halfway through. I think it will change after the 1st service.

For me too it never happened in 1st happens in 3rd and 4th gears...
U can take it up at first service.. I pointed it out in 1st service but they
didnt pay enough attention and it deteriorated later.. However, its better
                    now...

God only knows how the service for the bike will be in my city! If its not good, I will service in my native itself.

I am too facing the same problem while gear shifting as i have mentioned it twice before in this thread. I was thinking that it was happening due to the bike is new....but now i think this issue needs to be addressed. Same problem in 3rd and 4th gear and sometime in 2nd gear. There is no loud thud and the gear shifting pbroblem is not frequent though. For me the 1st servicing is on 27th of this month and i am going to take this matter up to the SVC.

The rear tire is Zapper Q 130/70-17''

What about the front tire 100/80-17'' ??..
It doesn't look like a Zapper FS...

I was not testing it much(sand to be exact). But it feels good. Still need to test it in a long drive I'm planning. My previous experience with TVS tires were good. The MRF`s are worst in sand and wet surfaces(experienced in my dio). As for the pics,Ill do it tomorrow.
