After a ride when I m parking my bike I get a burning smell. I dont why its caused.. I took my bike to Service Center last week to correct the gear shift problem that I was having.. The mechanic said my clutch was loose and he corrected it.. I dont know if that could be a reason..

    Any ideas guys
Bro i was stating the same for while now .. I changed engine oil for Rs 893 (full synthetic)in 1st service. During 2nd service , i talked with the supervisor about this HEATING problem, They have tried Semi-synthetic (Throttle oil) Rs 504 this time to reduce the HEAT.. I have no idea about this..

Any ideas, Changing the oil reduces the Engine HEAT??

I am nearing 3000km in ODO

I have read somewhere in this forum that once you change to full synthetic then it is not advisable/should not change back to semi-synthetic or mineral oils.
      Experienced riders, please correct me!
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

I am talking more about the burning smell than the heat

Its really sad Debanjan. did you go to ASC for a check??? and neoakshay mentioned in one of the above post that engine give smell at 1000KMS run....is it applicable for every engine or its a flaw in CBR150R???? anyway please take your bike to ASC and do a proper check.

I have clocked 530KMS in my odo and yesterday was my bike's first servicing date, but sadly i was late at the ASC and they told me come on saturday, hence looking forward for the first servicing. The guys there told me it will cost me around 750 min (550 for engine oil change and 200 for engine filter).

And you have also mentioned in your previous posts that you are facing some gear shifting issues...what about them now???did that get resolved???I am too facing the same problem and will put this issue on the servicing day.

I am not facing any issue rather than Gear shifing till now...no over heating of engine or no such bad smell from the engine..hope every thing will go well after first servicing

138 at what rpm? One more thing... I rode one cbr150r alone, it was good but with a pillion i was having severe issues whenever slowing down....and with a pillion the rear end became too soft and it was behaving like a spring... Hope i am able to describe it properly... The front kind of became light... Is this happens with you also? It was kinda irritating actually...

Most of the time i rode the bike with pillion (mostly my wife) and even i tried 95-100KMPH with pillion and never felt that issue you have mentioned. i never felt that the rear become so soft and bouncy.

According to Autocar India, True Top Speed of P220=133 Kph, R15 V2.0=123 Kph & CBR150R=135 Kph (Tested via VBOX). So CBR150R is actually faster.
