That's it functionally specific lamps, and if low beams are kept turned on for the entire day just for pass functionality then lets neglect the impact it has on the battery.

Obviously WIKI has been composed taking into scenario all the kinds of vehicles plying in all nations of earth.

In some particularly north European nations, they have these foggy climate for most part of the year and a lot of tunnels on the highways- as a result of which they required DRLs in the way of keeping low beam turned on even during daytime.

Manufacturers from such countries only did bring the concept of DRLs in India, but their DRLs have that specific functionality and you get those glamorous looking Audi headlamps with LED DRLs and obviously those are not low beams of the bike.

Moreover Low beams are not reduced intensity beams, low beam just focuses the beam nearer.

I gues the only bike in India now with true DRL functionality is the newly launched Apache series RTR.

I think using LED`s for DRL`s doesn't drain the battery much.

      • All owners who feel that the absence of pass switch is bothering, please check out the LHS switchgear of Honda Dream Yuga as a possible candidate for the donor bike instead of CBR 250R. Should turn out cheaper that way. Also it looks almost exactly like that of the 150R so the SVCs may easily miss it. Do explore its feasibility before ignoring.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Thanks for the info! Also, what about the engine kill switch? Is it easy to install? This is one switch I use a lot because of the traffic and number of signals in Bangalore..

Ill change the CBR250`s switch itself after the warranty period. They just added the pass light switch to the CBR 150R`s switchgear. The Design guys are pathetic in Honda.

I haven't done the first service yet. I decided to see the mileage only after that.

                              • Here is a very good experience below about the MRF nylogrip Zapper in CBR150R

I was riding my Bike on hosur road (bangalore) and going toward RTO in Hosa Road Junction. While i was over taking a truck before one signal i was at around 65kmph and suddenly notices a pot hole in the corner of the road. I tried to avoid it and intern the bike got dis-balanced. The good thing is in no time it resumed to normal and i gained the speed and overtook the truck. Super solid road grip and very good control in this bike....pheww!!! otherwise it would have been an accident for sure.

and while returning its a 6-7 KM strech without signal and while i was concentrating on riding and overtaking, suddenly my eyes went to the speedo and what i saw was my biking is at 95KMPH at 6k-7k RPM. At that speed there is no vibration at all and i couldn't feel that its going at such a great speed. I was overwhelmed that time but need to decrease the speed as my 1st servicing is not over yet and i didn't want to do any harm to the engine, though i touched 400KMS in Odo.
