have done enough reading about Honda CBR 150 and planning to buy one. I have a splendor+ with me now.
I always wanted to buy a good bike. am a novice about all these RPM or any technical specifications. Problem is, am kind of skinny - 5'11" tall and like 61kgs and always thought these kinda bike's wont suite me. so bought a car instead . not planning for too many long drives - may be couple of days to office in a week, which will sum up to around 30 km's.

Now - will this suit guys like me? am so damn confused
Sure you can go ahead and buy this.it doesn't matter whether you are 5'11 or skinny ii you have a good control then you can easily ride the bike and i will suggest go to any Honda Showroom near to your home and do a Test Ride. That will clarify most of your question.

The bike will suit to your height/weight.. CBR150R is revv happy bike, riding in traffic is fun, easliy flickable. Revv it more(above 6k RPM) it will make you

IMHO.. Its better to TD and decide

THanks for this - am little skeptical about having a test ride cause never ridden anything other than a splendor :-(, but will take it.

the minimum waiting period ll be 7-10days as per the availability of the bike with the show room and the colour you want. If its not available then it might take 25days to 45days.

And i am from Bangalore as well but i bought mine form Saphire Honda (JP Nagar). Their service is good and u ll get your bike max by 25days from the day of booking. Sorry no idea about Planet Honda.

I think this will help you. If not we are always open to help
thanks for the reply manoj. what is the initial amount to be paid.? can you tell me about its performance as i haven't ridden it. how is it when compared to r15 v1.? thanks in advance.

The initial amount you have to pay is 5000 bucks for booking. Then if you want you can pay the rest of the amount by cash (which i did) or you can go for a finance option where you have to pay monthly EMIs.

if you can go though this thread fully and you will come to know about the performance of this bike. In Page90 or 91 i have posted the review which tell you the performance of the bike. Better you can ask the show room for a test ride and in that way only you will come to know about the bike more. I will suggest that go to Saphire Honda for the test ride as they will give the bike for a good amount of time to test ride it. But in short its a very powerful bike and the handling in traffic and long rides is superb and there will be always comfort associated with Honda Bikes.

If i will compare it with R15 V1.0, i will say performance wise this bike will surely better than R15v1.0 (No Offence to any R15 owners).

I have checked it with my ASC and they told that it can be done easily by spending around 1000 bucks, but if its done within the warranty period then the warranty of the bike will get void. So my ASC suggested me not to do that within the warranty period.

So i will suggest not to do it although it can be done.
Does the overall warranty gets void or it gets void only for the parts relevant to swithgears? Because when I consider cost/benefit, I feel the benefits of having a good switchgears stands ahead of the cost.

whole warranty can be declared void

Welcome. I just thought about it, why should we let others say bad about switch gears of our bike. So lets switch it to the better one

I don't think I'm gonna wait till warranty ends, rather I'm planning to take this to Honda's view directly. Honda's Southzone office is located in Bangalore only, planning to visit there and get solution to this. Hope this works
