preferably close to marathahalli?

Sapphire Honda in Bannerghatta road has a good service. There is a CBR trained mechanic named Khan in Sapphire Honda. He is good and all the CBR (150/250) coming for service will be handled by him or under his supervision. You can try that.

Not sure near Marathahalli area.

Will there be any vibrations above 130 kms?

absolutely No vibes above 130+ kmph. Exhaust note will change but its fun to drive sometimes above 130+ but not all the time. I am sure its capable of doing 140+ without any vibes.

Cbr looks really awesome at night time..

what are the essential things needed to be bought and kept at home? example- engine oil, coolant, etc.

Engine oil - 1 bottle for every change. 1.0 liter is what I heard. If it's 1.2 liters, buy 2 bottles.
Chain lube - Lube the chain every 500+ kms. Don't go to svc for lubing it. They charge for that. It is simple, that we can do our self.
A tubeless puncture repair kit - useful when going in long rides.

It is better to buy and keep the consumables before going for service. Because of Honda's service style most of the parts will not be there in SVC at the time of service. Really they don't care the aftersales support to customers. I have ordered engine oil on 20 Dec 12 for my third service and got it on 05 Feb 13 and at that time they denied to do the third service, because the period was exceeded. They said they will do fourth service. After 10 mins fight, they did the 3rd service itself. At that time airfilter was not available and changed that after 2 weeks. Coolant I bought from local supplier.

Yesterday I got a call from SVC that oil filter has arrived. From my experience, I have to visit 3-4 times for a single service. I have ordered a maintenance stand and muffler cover in last week of january. Till now I didn't get any information about these items. Even SVc people also in same condition. So if you are planning to do a service in coming month, order the following by now itself


(1). Engine oil - 1 ltr

(2). Airfilter element

(3). Oil filter

(4). Coolant - 1 Ltr : You can buy from any automobile spareparts shop

(5). Chain lube spray

Hope everyone is doing good.

My odo has hit 400 kms.. so far i am happy with my bike. i need few clarification on the below issues. .. someone please answer for it.

1. i find some difficulties in gear shifting.. getting some noise while shifting up or down the gears.. not so smooth.. gears are not engaging in neutral so easily. i have to turn off the key and do it..

2. sometimes i get high power in first 2 gears. sometime very low power. irrespective of pillion.. why ?

3. I am not so confident with my rear brake. it does what my old passion Plus did .. nothing special.. then what is the difference between disc and drum types ? even if i put full pressure on brake plate (only rear) i dont think the vehicle get stopped. is there anything wrong with my bike ?

4. chain Lubrication period ? can i get it done from the local mechanic near my home ?

5. it is in run-in period.. i am riding my bike between 50-70 kmph ... is it fine ? after first service till what speed i can go ?

6. when to give for first service & second service ? howmuch SVC would charge for 1st service approx. ?
