Ya i know bro !.even in pondicherry 250 ABS is 1.78L..But i would have to drive it all the way to bangalore myself, and there was a 15 day wait for delivery..which meant that i needed to visit their showroom twice..

The 150 was ready for delivery in 1 day, and 1.45 was my maxed out budget, so i settled for it..
R15 was 1.38 here, but pillion comfort was an important factor to me

What i really wanted to know was whether the torque of 2nd gear is so low for all of you? or will it be corrected after the servicing?

Got my CBR 150 yesterday from Haiku Honda Domlur (Bangalore). This is my first owned vehicle
          Total price- 145845
Satisfied with the machine. I guess everything matches with all the reviews i read before buying.
No issues faced till now ,except that 2nd gear has less torque according to me.. And the rear view mirrors were loosely fitted, but i was able to fix them with the provided tools.
Here are the first snaps..will upload better quality pics later!

Tips and suggestions are welcome from the fellow riders!

which bike would be good in climbing the mountains means which bike has more pulling power in lower gears and how much difference in pick up is there in both the bikes in 2 and 3 gear
            Plz help

Nikhil, I saw ur posts in both R15 & CBR threads. Ownership threads aren't meant for this. Pls PM owners from both threads and ask them for their feedback.
CBR and R15 both are differently tuned bikes from factory. If you're expecting the regular 150cc type pull from them, then I'm sorry these aren't meant for you.

For Leh kind of rides, look for bikes with more torque. These 2 can do those, no doubt; but the clutch plates will take a beating.

If mileage is not your concern blindly go with CBR250R .. it will not let you down.

                      Power: CBR250R, DUKE 200, R15.

                      Torque: CBR250R, DUKE200, R15.

                      Power to weight ratio: DUKE200, CBR250R, R15.

                      Torque to weight ratio: DUKE200, CBR250R, R15.

                      Speed: CBR250R, DUKE200, R15. (All at 8500 rpm).

Considering the power to weight and torque to weight ratios, Duke seems to be better than many other bikes. More than that, riding constantly at high speeds is not safe or possible on Indian roads and hence I hope Duke’s 105 at 8500 and 125 kmh at 10,000 rpm are satisfactory.

Before taking final decision, ride all the bikes you like with a pillion rider through city, normal plain road and uphill.

This is my personal view based on the weight, bhp, torque, gear ratios etc of the above bikes.

Simply because it is a mixture of another 200 cc bike and some of Bajaj’s own bikes.
This badge engineering is common (E.g. Honda Brio) in automobile field but I cannot accept the creation of this kind of Frankenstein monsters.

The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

I feel less torque only in 1 and 2nd gears. Other gears are pretty much good.

@Mr.punarvasu, Now your hate for Honda extends beyond the two wheeler category. I don't know whats wrong with Honda Brio
