I got my bike serviced,paid around Rs950
.. Top speed so far 107km
..
My engine is very hot, i can feel the heat, is it because of oil change? , the indicator in ODO is 3 bar(normal).. Any sepcific reason for engine heating?

Sudhir - Was waiting eagerly for your service experience; how did you manage to bring down to Rs 950 from Rs 2500? Can you explain the after effects of our discussion with the ASC?
And a split-up of Rs 950 is appreciated along with the engine oil type.
Engine heat...check the coolant level, for which I think you might've to open up the rider's seat. Did the ASC check the coolant level?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

lol.. My friend is working in didar honda,i talked with the technician with his help, got to know that engine oil for cbr is coslty. Initially the bill was 1783rs.. I didnt pay, asked them i want to see the bill. I got the bill along with the worksheet (price mentioned for oil/oil filter etc)..
Took it to incharge person , asked him why engine oil price is 1201rs?? it was supposed to be below 900rs? Does the price differ for each service centre in chennai or it is same? Is oil filter price included in it? chain lubrication was said 70rs and in bill it was mentioned 120rs??. He was very poilte, took the bill and asked me sit in waiting room(AC
), talked with someone in phone, appologized for the mistake.. Since the bill is prepared, they cant change it, i was asked to pay 950rs(apporx, dont remember the exact figures) and sign aonther bill for refund.
I checked everything, coolant, engine oil, disc oil etc..as mentioned in manual..Engine is smooth.. Any specific reson for engine heating? or it is normal ? The indicator level is normal(3 bars) in ODO..I will take the bike to service centre soon if the problem continues
I will continue to give my bike in ayanavaram, its new, response is good, near to my home.. In my experience with unicorn, some service centre for sure using duplicate parts and not servicing in good manner(personnal experience with 2 service centre) .. i am ready to pay if it is good for my bike

I had near miss today... I was doing arnd 108kmph I had S - turn ahead of me.. I took the first corner well but into the second one.. I found the road was scattered with stone chips.. which meant I found zero grip.. I had my heart in my mouth.. I was unable to break hard I just held on... using engine braking to slow down a bit.. Finally I managed to get out of the corner without skidding of the roadLife is an Open Road For me..

Normal. I experience this on my 250 to date. Especially during city riding. As long as u do not see the 4th bar on the display you shouldnt be worried.Originally posted by Sudhir88 View Post
To be on the safe side, take a look at your oil level. Because post my first service, the oil filter they replaced with had a broken seal and thus i didnt notice my bike was leaking oil everywhere i went for a full week. I was superpissed when i was told by a stranger that my bike was leaking fuel. I had to smell it to find out it was engine oil.
So keep an eye out on ur engine area post service just to be safe and also ur coolant.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

but since repairs are going now they had scattered some stone chips
and just left it there... So when I came in expecting nice smooth roads
found stone chip scattered tarmac which translates into zero grip on the
rubber so, I was unable to brake effectively.. Anyway I should be prepared for the worst as that is the norm in our countryLife is an Open Road For me..

Sorry for back to back post mods.. My Last post already had a lotta quotes so making a fresh one..
I m noticing an issue with gear shifts.. Sometimes while shifting
gears i have noticed after releasing the clutch suddenly there is
a click sound and the gear changes after the clutch has been
released. Anyone noticed the same.Life is an Open Road For me..

R15 V2.0 v/s Honda CBR 150 R
The Autocar Show: Yamaha R 15 Vs Honda CBR 15OR - YouTube
The review seems pretty convincing except the fact they claim
r15 is more practical
A bike without a proper pillion sear, no grab
rails .. They even claim R15's back seat is more comfortable ???

The review seems to be honest in the first 5 mins and then in terms of practicality(I think he means practicality is MONEY), R15 is the winner!!
!!
The last part of the review was biased towards R15. The guy didn't even like to sit on CBR!Sometimes you gotta run before you can walk ! - Tony Stark
