Do you even know how a DOHC setup is helpful over a SOHC? FYI a SOHC setup is perfectly capable of handling 4 valves per cylinder. DOHC is only needed if the valves/cylinder are more than 4 (e.g. 5 valves per cylinder as on Skoda Octavia vRS / Yamaha FZ1). So More is better doesn't work here. Actually DOHC IS one of the reasons why the CBR150R makes less torque than even the CB Unicorn.

Well I am extremely sorry for that analogy, because even the Dazzler makes more torque than the CBR150R.. Sorry but I didn't mean to hurt any Dazzler owners, just pointing out the fact.

Wow! You want pillion comfort on a Track oriented bike right? Do you intend on going to the racetrack like that Bajaj XCD commercial?

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Even I've had the same experience with Honda. Its sad considering the kind of products they have to offer.

The dealer at Johns Honda has similar attitude.

When i was about to Buy old Unicorn he was not ready to negotiate and give offers on crash gaurd and number plates.

His replay was " We are selling a Quality product for the price"

I'd say that these bikes have got a "Character" and are not afraid to flaunt it.

                100 % True

As you are new to this forum, kindly be careful with your tone.

                + 1

[QUOTE=antz.bin;799255]+1! Just like Stunner PGM-Fi and RTR180 are incomparable, even though the prices are very close. Its real competition is R15 which IMO looks 100 times better. But what Honda very smartly did was overprice the CBR150R so that people 'feel' that they are not comparable.

17-18k is not a small difference when it comes to OTR prices. Considering under sane riding, the CBR returns 50 and the R15 returns 40, i.e., it will save you Rs. 17.5(Price of 0.25 liter of petrol) for every 50km of riding. OR Rs.17.5k for 50k km of riding (And i didn't even count the interest you will earn on this amount). Fair enough, you break even after 50k, but what you lose in the bargain is the fact that R15 engine makes 25% extra torque(which is something which will help you immensely EACH AND EVERY DAY!) AND it has a less leaned forward riding position than the CBR150R, and the fact that what you are riding is actually from a segment below when you could have had something from a segment above for the same money.

                + 100 . Very well Said

First of all, anybody who feels that the cbr150r is not worth a buy is wasting time in this thread. This is the cbr150r ownership thread and nobody has to come here to try and indicate that the cbr owners could have invested their money in another motorcycle. Please take out your frustration about cbr being not good enough in some other thread, like in "what bike" section.

Secondly, yes both cbr150r and r15 are track oriented motorcycles and comfort (especially pillion) is not what they are primarily meant to offer. Having said that, if the cbr offers a relatively better pillion comfort then atleast appreciate it rather than saying that it doesn't have to or not meant to do so. This is just one of the points. The baby cbr's full performance potential is still quite unknown as it hasn't been reviewed yet properly. And the two owners here are still running it in I guess. So let's just wait for it.

Lastly, it's clear that cbr150r is only few grands cheaper than the duke, but let's keep the duke out of this thread. Let's only compare it with the r15 and in a healthy manner and let's try to control our emotions. As I said, this is the cbr's ownership thread, so let us give the owners some space to talk about it.

Haedlight on/off switch is in the left side.....it easier to operate in city trafic rather than if situated in right....IMHO nice addition HONDA.
Hope the bike got flasher/pass switch.

Anyone own Black/Green Combo yet....it's looks stunning.

                      • ^ They could have provided switchgears of CBR250R, atleast. I don't think anybody has problem operating those. No killswitch also!

Oh thats really bad, the FAN will be running all the time when user turn the key to ON position at city trafic/signals. As I read the fan consume a fair amount of battery current (as for 250R,assuming 150R behaving the same), there is a slight chance to deplete battery charge easily.

Regarding mileage, you mean to say that you checked full tank to one bar in fuel gauge (considering reserve as 3.5 lts). This is not accurate. Please do a tank full to tank full method to calculate most accurate mileage.

@ Yashwath n debanjan --> The best way is to ignore those negative comments n r15 lovers and we concentrate only on CBR 150R

@ABikerAtHeart---> Till now only one bike, Black+white have reached chennai, that too in only 1 showroom(didar honda).. they r expecting Orange+white version this week (again for showroom display) .. i will wait for other colors to reach the showroom..

@To all--> This is ownership thread, don't have to compare CBR150R with r15 or any other bike here..

Please start a separate thread "CBR150 vs R15 VS Duke 200 vs any bike u want to" and post all the negative comments there..

Every owner, before buying CBR150R or any other bike as his own reasons for it and must have known its pros n cons .. KTM n R15 doesn't have any cons?? No bike is perfect, every bike as its own advantage and disadvantage.. i am bored to read those comments again n again

Guess its becoming a war zone here. But its our experience that we are sharing about the company and the Functions that are there or missing as compared to similar bikes from other companies or even lower models to think of,in the end a person need not talk good or bad about a company or a product but surely one can put some light as to what they feel is missing or enhancing a product. Only then would a potential buyer know about the real functions in a product with its Pros and cons.I dont know the performance figures and have no arguments for them.Im happy that you guys have shared pictures and experiences. IN the END ITS WHAT YOU FEEL MATTERS MORE THAN WHAT YOU HAVE....Peace and Safe riding
