Go to JSP; atleast if they screw up something, I can help you to fix it. BTW, it wouldn't be Tirumangalam; they service motorcycles at Padipudhunagar & scooters at Tirumangalam.

That said, Ayanavaram is a new ASC altogether (along with MPL in Mandaveli); I hope the technicians are equally competitive.

PS - If you're making there this evening, my 250 is coming over there for routine service

This holds true only for JSP...

Call them up, fix an appointment, you get the bike serviced in 1-2 hours while you're waiting at customer lounge

Visit them as early as 8:30 AM, get it delivered by 12:00 Noon; choice is yours to wait or not

The above applies only for free services OR if you think there's no major issue or just simple checkup is required.

All other services (extends from a day or so), leave at any point in time. This is applicable for all motorcycles (not sure about Scooters, but I think it is) at Padipudhunagar starting from Twister to 150R & CBR 250R.

Appointments are ONLY for morning quick service (wait & take), they're not applicable for anytime of the day. For 150R 1st service, I highly doubt they'll need a day; you may want to probably walk in during broad day light & it should not take more than an hour for a simple oil & filter change.

This is Manoj.....and I am a new member of xbhp...I am going to get my CBR150R by 28th of may...i booked it from Saphire honda showroom,JP Nagar,Bangalore....i am very much exited to see the first look of my sweet heart, though i don't want to carried away with the happiness and forget the necessary steps to follow before getting my baby CBR.

Can any one please tell me how can i get my PDI done properly?? where can i get a good bike cover in Bangalore (any suggestion)???

and also if some one can tell whether i can install a engine kill switch in runin period without affecting the performance of the bike???

Here is the link which was given to me by Janesh.J before I went to take delivery of my bike. Although it's for the bigger Ceeber, it's pretty exhaustive and barring 1 or 2 points generic too and hence can be used for most PDI's. I personally found it very handy. The originator of this list is Aargee, IIRC. Just mentioned the names to give the credit

If possible atleast complete 550+ on the odo meter. 400 is bit too early dont you think ??

since its a new engine, it will be tight and will start grinding friction affected parts and will have lot of metal participial in oil which will cause damage. so its better to change the old and the clean the mesh filter at 500 or even 300 is good. the first 300 km the engine will have lot of met part..

Yamaha did the same with the R15 initially. They are gauging the demand for the bike and might then decide whether to manufacture locally or continue importing.
To OWners, ur engine number will determine if its an Indian build or not however one has to know what the series starts with for the bikes that are manufactured in "that" country. I'l try finding out.

Yes, that's the case, I was there last evening; Ayanavaram, like I said, its a new showroom, so I don't know. Leave your bike there & provide a feedback for all of us. But then, its just 1st service, anyway, let's see.

BTW, JSP has another person to work on CBR, though, not officially trained by Honda.

+1; approach Mr.Rajasekar anytime over phone or in person, you can never hear such polite words from any other ASC including the service managers.

Besides what I heard was, Mr.Rajasekar is well qualified to work even on SBK's; the only issue with Didar T.Nagar is the lack of space. Otherwise, its a good place to get CBR's serviced.

                              • One more pic of my bike.. Having a superb time with it.. Love the way it handles..
Love the way It picks up speed when pushed a lil.. Never loses its trademark honda
smoothness even at 100 kmph + speeds.. In spite of the performance its easy to
live with and excellent even for commuting city traffic
