yeah it is but then they give you three coats for 650.. So, I still have two more coats left to go.. which I can get the upcoming services..Originally posted by Chandru Raj View PostWhy such a rush to the first service any specific reasons?
650 for Teflon
Way too much i think
and mileage how can they say man? Eve if they quote it will be under some standard conditions which we won be replicate? Users like you say the fuel efficiency figures to them and they spread the word, So being the first owners take the responsibilty
P.S: Still now I am not able to convince my friends I got 30 + on my Ceeber and a once 40+ because the word is Ceeber returns 25-30 0nly
yeah it is but I get three coats at this price.. I have got two more to go..Originally posted by Nithesh View Post650 For Teflon coating? OMG! Ripoff. I got mine done last month for 400(which is a Ripoff in itself because it shouldnt be more than 350!)
Test Rode the 150R today. I have no idea why people say she doesnt pull and crib about the low torque, but having ridden both the rival 150cc bikes in a month's gap(both brand new i.e. R15 v2.0 and the 150R with around 200kms on the odo each), i certainly felt the 150R pulling my dead weight of 98kgs a lot better than the rival.
Not only was i comfortable but the bike when revved above 6k pulls almost as good as my 250R. The exhaust note is wayy wayy better than the 250Rs at high revvs.
Yes the bike doesnt like to be ridden around 3-3.5k rpm in topgear(or even say 4th and 5th gear) but i do not think anybody in their right mind would be cruising inside the city in 5th gear anyway.
In the traffic the bike was nimble, and handled briliantly. I absolutely love the way she corners since she is lighter than my 250.
When i first sat on the bike, i didnt feel the difference between the 150 and the 250 until i grabbed the handlebar which is thin
and i looked at the Honda rep and told him how different it feels. He then told me to release the clutch a bit more than what im used to with the 250R, but it wasnt to be so. Quickly found the engagement zone and i setoff for a 20min ride both city and highway.
Overall: i think the console area couldve been a bit better. The ALL black finish somehow makes that part look dull in comparision with the bright body colours. I didnt feel the need for the killswitch at all.
The Side stand is a bit tricky to approach when ur perched on the seat. It took me about a min to push that thing down. A bit annoying.
Performance wise, i have no issues. I could see 72kmph coming up in no time in a short city stretch but i never got to see the topend sadly.
And Fit and Finish is as good as that of the rival. The plastic quality seems to be the same aswell. The seat is very comfortable for long rides. The engine does not feel stressed even when revved to near 12k rpm(P.S IS there no rev limiter on this bike?)
Did hear a lot of people yelling out CBR CBR at the traffic lights so yeah she is also a headturner especially the green/black combo. I like the headlamp assembly more than the 250Rs.
Overall a VFM product. The difference between the onroad price of the 150R and 250R STD is 30k approx here
1,40,000 for the std 150R
1,70,000 for the STD 250R
2,00,000 for the C ABS 250R
The ASC has a device for it. Today at the ASC one customer demanded to know the Bike's F.E because he said it wasnt anywhere close to their claim. ASC guy kept telling him that ARAI certified F.E is always more than what the customer would get in real world conditions but the customer wasnt going to believe it. So they said, they will test the f.e by evening and let him know.
Nice review you did.. I can tell you the top end is pretty good..
I hav 125kmph with pillion on this bike.. and there are no vibes even at 11.5 K rpm..Life is an Open Road For me..

I paid 893rs for Engine oil!!Originally posted by catchdebanjan View Posthowever, I had asked them to check the mileage to which I was
told we cant improve the mileage since its FI to which I countered
that I dont want the mileage increased, I just wanted to know the
figure...
The bike feels lot smoother.. feels like butter. I rode at 32kmph at 6th gear and there was no knocking at all. The bike did 72kmph at a relaxed
5k rpm.
I m quite happy with the service..
My Bill : 1154 out of which 450 is for engine oil
and 650 for teflon coating
400rs for Teflon coating(1st & 2nd service)
..
How is the engine heating up? is it very hot? because i am facing this issue, i still don't think its normal

Congos..Originally posted by manoj.mishramonu11Guys,
Yesterday i got my CBR 150R delivered to me.I went to Saphire Honda (bangalore) at 5PM and the service guys are prompt to all my questions and queries. I had to do some paper work and then the delivery guy told me to wait for 5 mins to get the bike. As me and my wife were waiting we saw one guys came and take us both to the baby CBR. And that time was the proudest moment of my life!!!
Then i did a PDI of my own. Thanks for the checklist provided by two helpful guys from Xbhp(sorry guys forgot ur name). Then the guy handed me the key and when i started the bike and take the first step with the CBR....oohhh that awesome feeling....can't even explain it!!!!.
When i reached home it was 10km in my odo and i was over cloud9 that time. The engine is very smooth, excellent pickup and with out any hassle its touching 60kmph mark, though there is a little problem while shifting the gear up and down (i think i need to get acquainted to it ).
Today morning i got up early, geared up and ride it for 30mins and this time its more smoother than yesterday. I really admire the comfort of this bike and i am really proud to be the owner of this baby CBR. Thanks to Xbhp and all the member of this thread for such a great help in understanding a lot for things about the bike.
I know this is a very childish post for the first experience of my CBR, but yes...the excitement and the thrill i am going though now its bring out the child inside me. I will post some of the pics as soon as possible.
We now have all the colors..
Sports Red (Mine)
Black and Pearl Sunbeam White
Vibrant Orange (Yours)
Black and Candy Palm GreenLife is an Open Road For me..

I am facing a little difficulty to shift up and shift down the gears. Its not happening very frequently though. Can any one suggest what might be the problem?? Do i need to take it to the Service Center or its a normal case scenario????

Thanks Sudhir for the response,Originally posted by Sudhir88 View PostIts normal bro.. Engine will heat up and you may get the smell too, its normal, but make sure indicator in ODO is normal(3bars) ..dont worry about mileage too.. Enjoy the ride for now
Yes my Engine is getting heated up but its not way too much heat and i am not getting any smell. I think that shifting up and shifting down the gear is the problem i am facing.....but as you are saying its normal, i am going to drop my unnecessary tension.
and i am not worried about the FE right now
