Yeah, I know its not okay to do so. 8.5k on odo.
Though in 3rd service, its has been clearly mentioned to clean the spark plug, there was no mention anywhere on the Job Card that it was done.
Already, the tempo of myself and my ASC guys is not so good. So, I didn't wanna tempt them more as I fear they will show the reaction upon my bike during future services.
I tried finding the spark plug, and no luck. Recently, I have started to get misfires beyond 9k RPM.

My doubt, from the closed single block design of these LC engines..,
Do we have to open the engine head cover to get access to the sparkplug??
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Well, I can see the spark plug even through the fairing so no prob on that front for me. Yours must be mounted vertically on the head or is it? Have you tried changing the service workshop?

If you can, post a pic. It might be helpful.

Reg. ASC, in my district only 3 Honda showrooms in diff. towns and all the three are owned by the same group.
Tried the one of the next town, and their attitude is nothing good. Waiting for my job-call., probably Chennai or B'lore.
        Will get options then.

I dont know about the CBR, but one can see the spark plug mounted on the right side through the vents provided in the side fairing. It reveals itself pretty easily on my bike, the R15

I'm pretty sure we wont have to open the engine head to get to the spark plug. The spark plug requires changing at some xx,xxx km's, from maintenance point of view its never designed to open the head just to change a spark plug ! I haven't seen the top of our engine yet, but will do if I get a chance and let you know exactly where it is. If you do get a chance, look for a black electrical cable, around 5-6mm in diameter, its will be going into the head. The part going in will be thicker and mostly made of rubber. If you tug at this cable it will come out, leaving the spark plug visible. But its no point trying to change a spark plug our self, you need a different tool to unscrew the plug from the head. If someone has the tool, or a good jugaad that works, they may try it !

Brother, be it CBR or R15 or any faired bike, spark plug has to be cleaned in every servicing as per manual. If the service mechanics don't do it, you need to insist or escalate your complaint. I have R15 V1 and I make it a point that things mentioned in "To do list" of manual are done in every servicing. May be building a rapport with a particular mech may make your job easier for upcoming servicing.

That's why you have the "report" button.
May be true, because I didn't measure objectively, my judgement was based on my riding experience in a particular stretch and the speed breakers I cross. Earlier, with the same RPM, I used to get the bike to 1st gear to cross the speed breaker. But after the 2nd service, with the same speed breaker, with same RPM, I am able to do it in 2nd gear.. May be this is a very crude way of judging the pick up. But net-net I am happy about the psychological boost in torque.

                • Regarding the spark plug. Its accessible after opening the right fairing. The plug needs to be cleaned in case of carb bikes more when compared to FI ones. The reason being; FI takes care of the AFR and maintains a near perfect mixture all the time. You'll see a brownish tip all the time.

One should *clean* the plug with a soft brush every 6-7k kms.

This is how a used plug looks like. (the tip portion)

The plug should be changed after 12-13k kms, even if it was working properly to avoid nasty surprises later. You can use the old one as a spare.
The gap between the electrode and the tip must be between 0.8-0.9 mm for optimal usage.

BTW, you can try under-gearing the bike by putting a bigger sprocket at the rear to gain acceleration. You'll have to sacrifice a bit on the top end though!

BTW, when securing the bag on the saddle, use two cords bro. It 'll help restricting the movement in neither direction. More safer too.

I got my spark plug cleaned , paid an exclusive visit to ASC for that, though it is in for a change after 700Km from now . My ride feels a bit smoother now and quicker to rev. Also I feel that engine noise has gone down a bit.

Frankly, I can't get what are you trying to ask.
                                But, from the last line...
If the bike is driven upto last drop of fuel, there are high chances that the fuel pump might get fried.
A couple of cases were reported with R15.
So, fill up fuel, when indicator reaches the last bar. If the last bar starts to blink, final warning to fill fuel
