Shoots!!! Pure rip off!!! Honda 10W30 (which I presume should be for 150R also) costs Rs 1100 or so. Why did they opt for Castrol

ROTFL!!! If there's a block in valve, the parts will be replaced under warranty by Honda. What has dealer got to do on them?

Sorry to spoil the fun my friend, my intention of the post was to better stay informed

+1 from me on Mr.Rajasekar front, very polite, very diligent in his work and someone who does not get irritated when asked questions in his profession. Was kind enough to clear doubts about the first service after 2 weeks

Sudhir, with due respect I am not sure of the "Synthetic Engine oil" castrol brand. Check what rating it si and check whether is it the one recommended by Honda, check warranty issues if you change oil. And regarding shining for 400 rs, it is an easy DIY and it is very cheap if you can do it by yourself. What are the extra charges?

In short I feel 2500 rs for a free service is tooooooo much

My Ceeber cost me barely 800 bucks.

                  Bajaj CT 100

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

I don't think they'll budge anything on it as you've already agreed to pay when you left the bike there. See, this is where things come into rescue. Had it been JSP, we could've worked out things much better in your favor. Anyway, the damage is done now, learn from it

I strongly agree with Chandru Raj here; infact, my first service costed somewhere around Rs 600 or so; anyway, I used mineral 20W40 that was around Rs 300 & filter which was Rs 250 or so. Other than this, nothing.

My fourth paid service for CBR costed somewhere around Rs 3300 for a simple reason I asked to change the exhaust cover that had slight scratches & a screw was missing on the front turn light, so changed the entire assembly , otherwise the cost would've been under 2.5K...for a PAID service.

Edit - Bargain hard & may be they'll knock off the chain lubing part & may be the polish etc, if they haven't really used Castrol, they'll charge the actual showing a discount to please you.

Technician was not there in JSP bro, i want to get the bike serviced by today I talked with the incharge person now, asked him to use HONDA recomended oil if using other brand void warranty. Can you PM me the prices of engine oil/oil filter change if you dont mind?, sorry if i am troubling you.

See above as what I said; there's a standby technician. For free service you can still get it done. Like I said yesterday, had you been there last evening, things would've been much different; anyway past is gone. Forget it now.

What's there to PM? The price of 10W30 engine oil is not more than Rs 550 per litre & engine oil filter as discussed above. But again, 10W30 & the prices listed above are for CBR 250R; with Honda switching to 10W30 engine oil for all their vehicles, I ASSUME, it should be no different for 150R also. Pls consult with ASC before suggesting them anything.
