      Read above.
      Actually He highlighted it correct. Are they saying its the same engine as in Unicorn? Its like saying R15 has the same engine as FZ but with some BITS added!

        @BeTrayedxD :- Here is the breakdown of the speedo readings i've got on the highway :
        1. 5th@5000rpm -> 62kmph
        2. 6th@5000rpm -> 71kmph
        3. 6th@6000rpm -> 83kmph

        Sorry didn't go beyond that still
        Hey Buddy . Thanks for sharing some speedo readings . And once you again get the chance to go beyond 6 k RPM ,don't forget to list out the speeds in different RPM's on TOP GEAR .

                  I don't know why the showroom guys claim the mileage of Splendor for a high revving bike of CBR legacy. And guys who buy will go back to them asking for this 60kmpl later, which would eventually be a headache for them.

                  AFAIK, CBR doesn't have fuel ON/OFF cock, as it has FI set-up. So checking fuel efficiency will be difficult, leaving only option to check it is full tank-to-full tank method! And checking fuel consumption reading the fuel gauge bars will not be accurate.
                  @ FM's owning CBR - let us know your mileage figures soon

                  • CNB Show on NDTV reported a few months ago(i even posted a link about it in the older 150R thread) that "HMSI has claimed"(again no concrete proof yet but its their clalim that HMSI has claimed this figure) of 56kmpl.

                    Now while it does sound absurd, i have two reasons to not rule it out:
                    1) IF it was Indeed HMSI's claim then i can vouch for it since HMSI also claimed 28city 32hway figures for the 250R which is the lowest average my 250R does.
                    2) There are numerous people(seniors and regular tourers) reporting between 40-45kmpl(hway) on the 250R on a "full tank to full tank" basis.

                    Again to achieve those figures one must possess the perfect "wrist control" and high level of patience on the highway.

                    However i am not gonna hold onto the 56kmpl figures for now since i havent come across any HMSI ad/poster claiming that figure Yet.

                    There is nothing on the brochures they passed out to me last week :/

                      If we are smart throttlers, any vehicle can give a reasonable mileage than what the manufacturer claims. But thats applicable in highway only because its the only place where we can drive without much braking. I am getting 21kmpl in my Santro (Petrol) if i drive it smart. That too I achieved it in 70-80 kmph. IT needs a lot of patience to drive at that speed constantly.

                          35.8 Kmpl on city rides with two outburst speed on CBR 250R

                          Apologize for the OT

                          Point - Owner's experience are far better than HMSI's claim in terms of FE. I'm eager to hear if this assumption is true/false for CBR 150R.

                                Ya im not that patient in city bcoz our chennai people will make me lose my patience most of the time. I never worry how much mileage im getting in city. I got sometimes 10kmpl in my car in city.
