Damn! I'd have been hopping mad by now.. I just CAN'T wait to get my bike in July(self-imposed waiting period), I want the bike on my b'day.. But I'm sure what you're going through is worse, having the bike but not being able to take it out! Do you go for short spins every night or early morning? Do you keep visiting your bike to stare lovingly at her?

I am mad.. Everytime I fight with my Dad to let me take it for a spin

I spent 1.3L of my hard earned money on it and All I get is to stare at it !!

I do take it out once in a while on the main roads but, ride it daily
in the gallis in and around my house..

It gets you a lot of attention man and I am loving it

You wont believe every time I goto sleep I think about the rides I would take once I get my registration

Since I was in no hurry for my current bike, I had also done the same thing of asking for the delivery in Mar2012 (Birth Month) but as per my sequence number of booking the dealer had to give the courtesy call to confirm if I wanted it in Jan2012 or not. Suddenly my birthday sounded so frivolous. I took the delivery on 5Jan2012.

Good to hear you atleast take her out for short spins, a small compensation I'm sure.. I'm sure the day the Registration gets done, you'll clock 500km minimum!

I soooo wish I could pre-pone the event! Unfortunately the guy who's buying my R16 said he'll pick it up in July so it tied-in with my original plan of getting the 150R on my b'day. Also, the 75k that I get from him will be my downpayment.. :P

Good luck and it's special to get it on your birthday anyway. Enjoy the moment.

feel of the bike.. It will help me ride hard on the mean streets

This is not to belittle you or do anything similar.
AFAIK, earlier, you had sold an RTR 180 to buy an R15, and now, you 're going for a CBR 150 R.
                      Specific reasons?
                      Peace.

Hey man, don't be so scared! This is an open public forum and no one can scare you or prevent you from posting here. As for your question - gearing is what makes a vehicle do certain speeds at certain rpms.. My R15 does 100kmph at 7,000rpm, and AFAIK the CBR150R did 100kmph at 7500rpm when I took a test ride. Not too sure though coz I was busy getting a feel of the bike as a whole. I might've been in 5th gear when I saw the rpm at 100kmph. We'll have to wait for more owners to confirm. MY 150R will only be with me in July, so can't check right away. Will take another TD over the weekend and post my findings.

No offence taken. You're mistaken though, I owned a Honda CBF Stunner 125 before the R15. The R15 has been perfect except for comfort in city and on long tours. The riding position takes a toll on your arms, shoulders and back. Since i'm happy with the power and just want a more comfy ride, the CBR150R makes more sense to me than the 250R. I want a tank range of 500+ !

Congrats buddy!! The bike looks absolutely SMASHING! I know lots of guys who want this colour combo. Enjoy your ride and look after her. If the run-in is bothering you, finish it in 3 days like i did on my R16!

                              Congrats Sudhir88 ! Happy riding.

I have a problem. The pillion seat of my cbr, even after locking, makes rattling sound while driving on rough road. Has any CBR owners faced this problem ?

                                My bad memory!

BTW, if you would recall, I had spoken to you about Perfect Riders, Lalbagh Road on the R15 thread when you were interested to go for one.

I assumed that you had an RTR 180 before that.
