The moment you mentioned about RPM, I knew you didn't open the owner's manual; now before you touch your bike again, go through it religiously!!!

Its a very modern engine & the only condition during run-in period is to avoid sudden acceleration (and add engine braking to it). This means, you can ride even in the speeds excess of 100, again, take it slow there.

PS - Don't know who, when, where imposed the 5K RPM rule!!! Its been carried all over to CBR 250R & now the same cancer is spreading to CBR 150R also!!!

PPS - Avoid ECR for cops; ride it well in the city or NH4/NH5/NH45

      Edit

The answer to your query is this: CBR150R cannot move at 112 kmh speed at 6500 RPM even if the wind or anything else is in your favor.

Those who reached 100 kmh at 7500 RPM were either in 6th gear or were at 8500 RPM in 5th gear. They may not have noticed it in the excitement of riding a coveted new bike.

It is a normal 150 cc bike with excellent looks of a higher cc sport bike. Let us all avoid exaggerated claims such as it overtook so and so bike at 169 kmh speed etc and make it a normal ownership thread.

          Goodbye.
I dont know y or how u can make such definative claims without having
          touched the bike...

And what makes you think you re the only one gifted by god with balanced judgement (as you say "They may not have noticed it in the excitement of riding a coveted new bike.")

As for claims of 169 Kmph I doubt that as much as you do..

I think the bike's true to top speed would be 130Kmph+ but, that doesnt make claims of 140Kmph on speedo totally impossible..

And its not impossible for it to be faster than the R15..

I dont know why you are so hurt by it..

You have no right to invalidate what people have

experienced maybe their methods are not upto

your mark.. but, just to clarify these are not pros

so, If you want pro remarks then please find it

from a suitable source like a bike mag..

Dont bother yourself with amateurs like us in this ownership thread..

This thread has gone to dust... all we get to see MR Catchdebanjan and Aargee giving responses for every Tom,Dick and Harry.
No wonder why everyone posts to take cases of the bike and the members. Shame to thread and the above mentioned members.

No fruitfulness left in this thread, Just ignore the unwanted posts and continue contributing instead of increasing posts counts.

EDIT- Aargee one advice - Dont post in all threads even if you are Google. Kinda loses the interest of reading or contributing towards any prescribed thread.

Moderation is very weak since last weekend; I submitted a post for T'Log on Sunday & it took about 26.5 hours to get an approval. BTW, its not that weak because it got deleted by now - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/t...est-coast.html

Check your PM i thought you had the knowledge of not going OT atleast on threads and having +7k posts.

                • This thread was really good first. But after Mr. Punarvasu came posting here, Its gone as a flaming thread. I can feel he wants to mock the CBR, but I want to be happy with what I get. He is the one who is posting only the minuses of the bike. No owner can withstand bcoz he points out always the cons.

What he meant was why you need to reply onto someone's query when that person has severe reservation about CBR150? After a point, you should just let it go, man. Pulsar is bad in the eyes of most of the Honda/Yamaha owners but that doesn't make any difference to the Pulsar owner's. Hope you go what we are trying to say here dude.

                        Exactly buddy thats my point.
Continue to provide information, and about stupid posts just ignore them, dont answer them. We very well know the bike capabilities and every bike is unique and different.

You are doing a good job and continue to do that, iam myself keeping upto the thread with your information. Just ignore the other posts, dont reply.

Soon i might join in this thread too, but inputs is all i require.

                          • Coming back to the topic @ Catchdebanjan -

                            1) Do you plan to install any aftermarket accessories.
                            2) Any cornering done on the bike yet?? Killer's cornering would be way to advanced and track based. Iam talking about those small city patches where you just rip it a bit.

I have not been able to go on a TD single, the showroom guy is always there. But thats given me confidence that pillion can suffice quite well.
