Maybe one of the clamps hasn't locked properly into place.. Why don't you remove the seat and have a look at all the places it hooks into and then fit it back. LEt me know if that worked.

BTW, if you would recall, I had spoken to you about Perfect Riders, Lalbagh Road on the R15 thread when you were interested to go for one.

I assumed that you had an RTR 180 before that.
Damn, yeah!! I'd forgotten about THAT!

+ 1 For all of your POINTS .

                I too wondering If he clocks 112 Km/hr @ 6500 RPM means then he will clock 100 km/hr between 5,000 - 5,500 RPM ?

I was ready to post my doubts but all used o start arguing and start saying have you ridden it or some Blah blah blah . For this sake i remained silent !!

To check the true TOP SPEED for any BIKE , we need a GPS ! I'm saying this from the beginning !! And

                Anyways , We're Like minded

Since a rider will move to another gear after 100 (for cbr 150 it will achieve an indicated 100 in 3rd gear) we cannot consider speeds as linear as u said. also there as different factors wich further resists building physical speed. for example wind resistance.

The answer to your query is this: CBR150R cannot move at 112 kmh speed at 6500 RPM even if the wind or anything else is in your favor.

Those who reached 100 kmh at 7500 RPM were either in 6th gear or were at 8500 RPM in 5th gear. They may not have noticed it in the excitement of riding a coveted new bike.

It is a normal 150 cc bike with excellent looks of a higher cc sport bike. Let us all avoid exaggerated claims such as it overtook so and so bike at 169 kmh speed etc and make it a normal ownership thread.

                  Goodbye.

                  • @neoakshay and punarvasu: thanks a lot for the explaination.... The baby cbr is no doubt an awesum machine but some claims are just too hard to digest like that 169 kmph part...lol damn... Well i'll wait for some proper reviews on that 112 kmph at 6500 rpm part... I will take a test ride myself to find out the truth...
OT: @neoakshay: i am the guy who was bugging you on facebook about your r16...remember...? I am unable to add you on xbhp. Dont know why

                    • hey guys, while surfing through this CBR thread,i was surprised to see the switch gear that lacks pass light switch and engine kill switch.I just want to report that CBR switch gear seems 100% same as that on CB Twister which i currently own and shown in below pic.
also the 17" rims of both CBR and Twister seems to be exactly same....though i have not yet checked it personally.Anyways for those waiting to see the exact performance numbers and comparison between R15 and CBR i would suggest keep checking Overdrive magazine as they usually do such comparison in their monthly issue.
This month they have done excellent shootout between R15 V/s Duke V/S CBR250....i guess next month it will be between R15 V/s CBR150

I have already tried that. Actually after locking, the end of the seat can be moved up and down, I mean there is scope for movement and that is making that noise

Is that your opinion, fact or is it what is written in the owner's manual? BTW, have you gone through & understood what's given in the owner's manual?
