Finished 2041 kms on odo. Went to coimbatore yesterday. The road was so stupid. They didn't even lay the one side road properly. Went with the pillion and it pulled good. He frequently shifted gears, but I told him not to lug the engine. Bike is not rough now. But still hard 1st and 2nd gears. Managed to get a cramster colt over there. The sad part Is it got torn slightly because it was touching the tire. But it was my fault that I didn't place it properly. Then went to maruda malai for tonsuring my head.. Took some nice photos. Will post all photos once I come back to chennai. I wanted to do rim stickering, but unfortunately the guy said it can't be done without a main stand or paddock stand. Problems in the ride: 1. Both Rvm's top holding screws got loosened. One screw got lost. I don't know how that gets loosened in a new bike. 2. The bike is very difficult to ride in cross winds. Even a rtr drove so easily in front of me. 3. The rpm glass got several cracks. During the second ride, it was only two cracks, but now its six. @neevarp, I did my first service at 350 kms itself. I decided to do the second service back in chennai itself. And I got the same triangular dirt pattern in my radiator.Last edited by mulli84; 07-24-2012, 12:30 PM.Sometimes you gotta run before you can walk ! - Tony Stark

Envy you!!Originally posted by mulli84 View PostFinished 2041 kms on odo.
I suspect the triangular dirt pattern is due to water splash, what's your thoughts?? BTW, Am going for the 1st service just tomorrow.Originally posted by mulli84 View Post@neevarp,I did my first service at 350 kms itself. I decided to do the second service back in chennai itself. The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

It should be due to design. Atleast the pattern is less so not much of the radiator is covered in dirt. Nothing much. Had to do a water service, since the mud is roasted on the engine.Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostEnvy you!!

Not a lot of pictures. Since it was my first long ride, I took less pictures due to tiredness.Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostYep, It just a very little in mine too!

Hello People! Been a while but I have been busy. Now to get down to it, having a complete blast with my new Baby, and its green. Anyway I have done 633 Kms on the Meter and it still rides like a beast. Went in for a oil change at 620 Kms, to tell you the truth the engine started whining a bit nearing 600. I don't know why, but I was expecting the same thing when I took it out of the ASC today, but to my utter surprise and amazement, it rode smoother than butter even at 7-8k RPMS. But on the bill it says THROTTLE 100% Synthetic Engine Oil, is that a problem should I ask them to change it again? Please answer quickly because I do not want to damage my Baby. The machine is what it is, a premium built for Indian roads. And I have a few questions, just wondering if anyone else have that problem. I get annoying vibrations from the Visor above 6k Rpm, does anyone else have it and also, I get a metallic sound whenever there are bumps, when I ask the guy at the center he tells me that its just the chain hitting against something as it is slack. Does anyone else have the same problems?

Have driven her past 6k rpm but no vibrations from the visor. But for the metallic sound, are you speaking about a shrill that arises from the back of the bike on bumps?? I only get that shrill and have found that it is due to the locking pin that is being used in the rear foot-pegs.Originally posted by MadMax2030 View PostI get annoying vibrations from the Visor above 6k Rpm, does anyone else have it and also, I get a metallic sound whenever there are bumps, when I ask the guy at the center he tells me that its just the chain hitting against something as it is slack. I thought so in the beginning but I stuck that pin with a cellotape to check it is not. Even still I had that noise. The same shrill noise.Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostHave driven her past 6k rpm but no vibrations from the visor. Waiting to hear back bro. If am wrong I will check again. But the guy at the Service Centre told me its because of the chain slack. And that the chain is beating on a part near it.Originally posted by neevarp16 View Post

Hello welcome to the forum, the initial mileage when I checked on my CBR id 34.04, it might vary depending on the riding style of each person. I rode it smooth as it was a new bike. But there is one problem, the CBR, R15 and other premium bikes out there, you really cannot decide with mileage, because they are not built with such a mindset, they are not Commuters, where the engineers try to extract the best mileage. They are power machine, where the engineers try to extract the best power they can. So, you cannot decide on a bike just because it gives a better mileage. Hope this helps.Originally posted by cheRrYy View Posthii guys.i am new to the forum but i have been followin the thread from a long time.i have a common question like all other indians to ask u guyz .can any one please tell me exact mileage of cbr150r.i feel that all the reports about mileage of cbr on net are biased so i just wanted to ask the actual cbr owners.i have already booked a orange cbr and may be i ll get my ride delivered next week.i just wanted to know about the mileage figures to satisfy myself until i get my hands on my ride

Out here on the roads, the first question that I get is "How much mileage?" and when I answer 35-40
, they look me like am an idiot to buy a 150cc that just gives 35. Don't worry about the mileage, the performance of these machines 'll put every other thought to dust!!!
Moreover, its a gift from your dad, so, you can atleast ask him for those extra petrol expenses!
