    Hey I didn't do 3.5 k I did only 2040 kms. I might be going to trichy on sunday.

      oops!! Sorry about that mate... So, others should be even lesser than you, I guess!


      My Jade is back from 1st service. Did a 70km ride... She is uber smooth now... Previously, I had hard shifts, whenever shifting to 1st and 2nd... But, now, the gear box is so smooth that I just flick my toe and the gear slides in without even me knowing. The engine too had become so smooth... the RPM now climbs up in seconds to 10k
      I can't keep it down of 6k.. The days have become more happy, and munching miles had become more pleasure..
      The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

          I'd suggest you to PM some gurus on this issue or just mention it in some other help thread that would be dealing with some issue on engine oils..

            That was a rumoured figure. The news was spread in 2010 about the rumoure figure for the bike before it was launched there in 2011. The actual figure is the same as the Indian Spec. Do you really think Honda would detune from 19 to 17 ps and then bring down the torque figure from 17Nm to 12.xNm? Even Thai bikes top out at 140-145kmph.

                  proper oil change,air filter cleaning,oil filter replacing at regular interval.lube the chain at every 500 km.
                  keep it under 50 kmph upto 1000 km.
                  stick to mineral oil.if possible change the oil after 200 km of riding.
                  and the question remains why do i race?

                    Some from my side...

                    1. Properly warm up during cold starts. Idle till, at-least 1 bar pops up in temperature indicator.
                    2. You can even rev the engine but Never lug the engine.
                    3. Avoid sudden acceleration at least till initial 500kms (as stated by the manual)
                    4. Try changing oil at 200kms, and then at service intervals.
                    5. Clean and Lube your chain, after water cleaning, muddy rides, and every 500kms
                    6. Maintain correct tire pressure.
                    7. Check coolant level, brake oil levels daily, at-least during run-in as the bike is subjected to sudden problems.
                    8. Avoid, pro longed operation at same RPM during run-in.
                    9. Avoid slow speed operations too during run-in
                    10. Use proper grade, good quality fuel.

                    And, thank Xbhp for the knowledge it had given you

                      Today i got my CBR Teflon coated. I had problem with the fork that was very hard to turn when moving in low speed. Before Teflon coating they did water wash (as they always do). I told them about the fork issue, they corrected it, now it is fine. Got my chain also lubed ,sprayed. Chennai friends we have a good Honda dealership at last...SVM Motors Ayanavaram. And dont mistake me like i am working for them. When we say some Honda showroom guy's attitude is bad we should also be ready to appreciate someone who is good in that...this is my motto...nothing more than that. Coming back to my CBR, she is realy doing good except hard gear shifts...well i have not done 1st service yet...so hope this will change like all you have reported.
                      I want to hear from you..please tell me which petrol is good for her Shell, Speed or ordinary. And i am unable to keep her below 60 kmph...will this realy harm the engine / mileage. Please suggest.

                      PS: there can also be some other good dealers in Chennai, i have shared my experience only here.

                            I missed one. Black & White CBR looked better than Green (mine) after Teflon coating in my opinion. This is quiet human nature i will say. but tip for those who are confused in color choice.

                              Welcome to the club bro, anyway can you direct me to their Service center please. I took my Bike at JSP HONDA at Anna Nagar, even with high level recommendation they are really shit at customer services.
