That would be one's own decision... Looks of the machine, the cons of R15 when available in 150R like grabrails, comfort of ride, refinement in engine, vibe free ride all the way up redline, and personally, I like to revv and ride and CBR satisfied me. And you would be having your own points to opt for a R15. Maybe that 10k could be justified by the R&D of DOHC, the exclusive engine and its manufacturing.Originally posted by discover View PostThe limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

One point in favor or CBR150 that I felt was Engine refinement apart from that the riding stance, performance, mileage etc are almost the same compared to R15.
Also I felt the Head lamp on CBR150 to be more helpful than that of R15s twin lamps, through having 2 lamps on R15, On Highways during nights, I often stop the bike and check if the headlamp was turned on.

Am not blaming Honda mate.. Am saying honda wud've done enough tests and claimed that first service can be done at 750 kms..Originally posted by Nithesh View PostWhy blame it on Honda? It is not their recommendation. I have changed mine(250R's) as per the manual. I did not go early and i have no problem with my engine to date(8 months now). It is just every individual's choice to change oil whenever they feel like. If you stick to your manual's suggestion you will not lose anything.
My question was - Why people are service before while nearing 500 or even at 200...
Ok ... sure Praveen !!Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostYou are right at that. That 200kms mark is the one widely suggested., unfortunately I was unable to do that... So, did 500kms odo and had the first service. I have to take my bike from my town to b'lore prob in a month and i'll hit 1.5k with that run, and planning to change oil after that once more., and then with the service intervals.. If you change it as early as 250, then better ride 1000kms before one month and change it with first service., but if you think you can't reach 1k kms before 1month or 1st service due, have your first service between 750 and 250, i.e 500

Plan according to your riding style!!
Btw, neevarp -> praveen... that's me.., call me praveen bro!!

Mobile gps may not be as accurate as GPS devices thoughOriginally posted by neevarp16 View PostIs mobile GPS okay to calculate the speed?? I really don't know if it is okay, and I would like to try it!!
I even answered your question in the same postOriginally posted by danielmanickaraj View PostAm not blaming Honda mate.. Am saying honda wud've done enough tests and claimed that first service can be done at 750 kms..

It is their perspective/mentality that the engine will be running a lot smoother if they change oil prior to as advised in the manual. While yes it does help the bike be smooth during run-in it isnt "really important" if you can ride upto 750 kms and do not experience any harshness from the engine.
And then there are a few people who are "highly skeptical" of ruining the engine by not changing oil before 750 so they decide to get it done because somebody else did it too.
You cannot tell them not to do it because you cannot change the way they think
It is hardcoded. well sortof

no bro...mobile gps is jus crap... It does not directly connect with the satellite... It uses your telecom network to work... If you have a very good and fast 3g connection then things are just on the average side...and if you have a 2g connection then...well..better not to check it at allOriginally posted by neevarp16 View PostIs mobile GPS okay to calculate the speed?? it will give different results every time depending on the time your gprs takes to get a location lock...

Most phones can get a GPS lock even with flight mode activated. It uses data network only to get a GPS lock in lesser time. All GPS locks are primarily directly through satellite. 3G or 2G has no say in how accurate your GPS lock will be. It depends on the sensitivity of the GPS Antennae on your device. So, for best results, switch to flight mode, wait for lock (could take 2-5 minutes depending upon device) and then use a GPS tracker to track your speeds while you concentrate on the road.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

is it so? Then i am sorry for the wrong info... Whenever i try connecting gps my phone connects to the network automatically and then seeks gps.. If i disconnect it from the network the satellite connection also goes... And about the speed, it shows differenent speed every time i check and varies by around 10kmph... Same happened with my earlier n95 and now same result with my SE Satio.. Got to check it again...btw thanx for the infoOriginally posted by antz.bin View PostSorry for OT but this info is very very inaccurate.
