    First, congrats on your purchase.
    Buddy, don't let your choice down. The problem seem to be electrical.

    1.Did yu called up your ASC? Call them up and ask them to come home and check.
    2.Moreover, if there is going to be any faulty electronics, Its going to be covered under warranty.

    But, that 88km on odo is something strange. Mine got 1.5km and something upto 15 is okay. Bad that there seems to be no strict company purchase policy on this. Try calling your regional office.
    The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

      This type of experience will surely make any parent angry. My mom was always reluctant in buying this bike. She insisted on buying R15 because it was little cheaper than this bike. But I went for this bike.

      U should have never taken the bike. 88 is too much. Did it start perfectly at the dealer? Did you inspect the vehicle before taking?

        Ya i inspected bike .Perfectly fine . This happned after i came back to home . Sales person showed me another CBR 150 which is also 87 Km run . I called them today mornig . Mechanic came, after inspecting bike he said " Battery gone" WTF . He take back bike to service station . Wht i do now ? Pls help me.

            This is really unfair. Riding all bikes too much km. Take up ur dad and make him ask about this to the dealer. Never pay them any money for anything. Demand them to be done for free. AT best, please don't go for service to that ASC again. You should have gone with the mechanic to the ASC. If possible go now and get the bike after the battery is replaced.

              Bro, yu let the mechanic take the bike. You didn't go with them?
              One little advice.., avoid letting your ride in others hands, esp. those ASC mechanics hands. Now, better go to the station and check up with them. Installing a new battery would just take hardly an hour.

              Phone them and don't just register yours as a complaint. Demand a immediate solution. Try notifying them of your problems and if they are not gonna listen., better yell at them.

              EDIT:
              Before calling, go to the Honda website and register a complaint. For, once you call them, probably that's the first thing that they are gonna say you to do.

                Guess they didnt do a proper PDI before handing over the bike. Relax they will replace the battery and hand it over to you asap. But yes 88 kms is not testing. Its called Joyride. Report to the regional manager immediately

                    Thanx for reply guys . Got the bike, working fine now (Instead of replacing battery they charge it ) .Will test bike 4-5 days if same problem occurs thn i reply back here n BLAST on thm.

                    I again ask abt Odo reading but got same answer ( Testing) . Calling on 020-27240026 - 28 but no one answering . I think Honda wale sleeping .

                    Any advice on run-in, speed, gear shifting etc ?

                      Check from page 119, 120 of this same thread. You 'll get a little conversation regarding running-in and some links too!

                          Actually the Idle RPM on paper is 1600 +or-100, (Page number 76 of User Manual). But mine too shows around ~1900 and guess that's a no prob.

                          What you exactly mean "Bike gets turn off"?
                          Ours is a DOHC Undersquare block, so it always feels happy to be revved. Don't worry about run-in., you can revv up a little in start. Some trials and you'll be good to go!
                          But, be sure to heat up the engine at cold starts, let the bike idle till the temperature reaches one bar. That usually takes a min under normal climatic conditions.

                            1) Do you let the bike idle for atleast a minute before setting off in the mornings? Or do you just turn the ignition on and take her out straightaway?

                            2) Ur bike will "Stall" if you do not give her more revvs. Have you owned a bike before and if yes which one? This one needs more revvs to start moving. So you revv more and release the clutch gradually to start moving. Get a feel of the clutch freeplay in the process
