Guys ...last week I came from nagercoil to chennai(660 kms) riding my ceebee along with my friend's duke200...since his bike is brand new, we maintained a constant speed of 70-80 range...what astonishes me is that I filled my tank while we start from there and the reserve condition comes only at 545km in my trip meter...does this means that I had a mileage of 54.5...no way ( reserve is only when the first bar blinks...rite??)...

Follow Tank full to tank full or cut-off to cut-off method. Digital fuel gauge do have some errors.

Yeah I am saying tank full to reserve only...I cannot drain my tank...usually I get a mileage of 38-40...

Quite possible. My ZMR while cruising at 80ish speeds throughout in a 1000 km trip recently gave a full tank figure of 597 kms. That's 49.75 kmpl for a 223 cc bike.

Simple way to calculate is ful ur tank keep riding on a long trip bring it to reserve. Fill the tank for second time. The amount of fuel filled for second time shows the amount of fuel consumed. so calculate the mieage with distance covered and fuel consumed.

Yup reserve is when the first bar blinks in a ceeber. Digital Meters and ECU units however calculate your way of riding and then give you the result. Meaning... If you had 2 bars to begin with and rocketed along a 10 km stretch of road, the display may show you one bar less while if you lay off the rpm a bit and maintain a steady 80, the display may show 2 bars again.

However, nice FE on the ceeber. Glad to know.

Sometimes when i switch on the bike the first bar blinks for sometime and once i ride it for 200m it stops blinking...(Everyone facing this Issue??)

Two days back ,i rode my bike at the speed of 110-130 for about 20minutes in chennai bye-pass (Ambattur I.E - Tambaram) and from that on, the sound of my engine is changed ,also its smoothness is now nowhere.....Now when i ignite the engine a buzzing sound is coming the whole ride??( its not cooling fan running or buzzer because the sound comes only after the engine starts running not by turning on the key)
