There is a need to downshift sometimes but, its a matter of getting used to..

But, there is so sluggishness as such

Actually IBNLIVE copied or sourced the article directly from Overdrive First impressions. So its not their "First Impressions" actually.

No, the 150R has no DRL as such, what is meant to say is the low beam can be used as a DRL & the lo/hi beam select switch can function as a pass switch & hence nullify the absence of the same.

Congratulations on your new purchase . The bike looks great . Ride safe .

I went to KSN Honda to check out if there is any CBR 150 r for display . There was one bike , i asked the dealer to give me the bike key and when i blow the HORN , i was totally disgusted . The horn was nearly the same as elder sibling CBR 250 r ( but it is audible ). Why can't Honda provide a dual horn or single horn which should sounds greater than this . My suggestion , HORN is the most important factor in our day to day city/highway rides .

                  • I once again dared to take my bike to roads (without the much awaited registration of course). While riding I tried to up shift and missed the gear
and I accelerated while still being in lower gear (of course without noticing) the bike was at around 6k rpm the speed climbed to 71 Kmph..
and it was gaining speed in a hurry(at 5th gear).. then suddenly i realised i m yet to complete my run in and I upshifted to 6th and slowed down

Oh how I wish to get hold of my registration and complete my run in asap

It is not mandatory to maintain the rpm during Run-in periods bro..Avoid sudden acceleration.. It is advised that once in a while, try to attain peak RPM for each gear during run-in period, which is good for new engine.. You have to keep it balanced to get better mileage and performance ..

There a lot of things to rejoice for why worrying about the horn which is just an accessory. I personally consider horn to be a major source of noise pollution. People installing loud annoying horns and misusing them. Experienced and sensible riders will hardly need any horn. I use horns only to notify when someone is at fault.
Owners its high time You need to be more possessive about the ownership thread. The ownership thread is meant for only owners to share their ownership experience and share knowledge amongst themselves and not for non-owners like me to span the thread . I don't want the thread to be closed forever.

P.S: I will delete my post and also expect others to delete their posts and stop posting here and give ample space and time for the owners to share their experience.

So, do i need to go thru the manual and see the peak rpms in each gear and try and achieve that in run in ? Also, its difficult to avoid sudden acceleration in traffic esp. when moving out of a signal.

                        • My CBR150R Experience

                          Hi All,

I got my CBR150R from Sapphire Honda, J.P.Nagar , Bangalore on the 24th April, right since day one, i found some niggling issues, with the bike, just after taking delivery, i observed that coolant was leaking, after much persuasion the dealer fixed it, and said the bike was fine. On the 7th of May subsequently, i observed that the engine was getting pretty hot, and the coolant level , had dropped below the "LOW", mark, when i complained the dealer, he said a mere top up will do, and when i took it there, he said that , the radiator fan was not working . I previously owned a Unicorn, and never faced a single problem with it , and expected the same quality with the CBR150, but to my utter dismay there seems to be a new problem with this bike every day . Now to add to my agony the dealer says, they dont have the required spares, so the bike has to be left with them, till the 12th and they can get the spares and repair it only by then. I am really unhappy with the poor quality control of HMSI. I would suggest any prospective buyers to take this fact into consideration, as i got to know that the spares for the KTM DUKE 200 and the Yamaha R15 V2, are in stock with the dealers, and hence they can be repaired, if at all required, immediately, while its not the same with the CBR150R.

How? Was the temperature above 3 bars?

That is correct; if its below low, they don't replace, they only topup

Like how? If the fan wasn't working, then that would lead to engine seizure or worst issues. Besides, the fan is controlled automatically by ECM. How did you determine that the fan wasn't working?

ROTFL!!! Are you aware a mere comparison of CC is unjust here? Besides Unicorn engine is much older than 150R's engine?

Like what apart from coolant topup?

Firstly, welcome to xBhp and congrats on your first ever post! Also, congrats on getting the CBR150R. Very sad to read these experiences, especially from places like Sapphire Honda. A friend of mine knows the Owner and highly recommends them, If you like I can ask him to help you out. He's helped out other guys with getting delivery early as well as with getting spares.

This seems to be a case of negligence by the Dealer, who hasn't done a proper PDI. Hyosung faces the same issue! PM me your number and I'll get in touch with you.
