Hye, yes it can. They are 3 different settings, and it comes on medium from the factory. I have had mine on the hardest for about 3 weeks now, and there is a significant difference. bad roads are more of a pain. But I dont mind the trade off, as her confidence mid-corner has increased.Originally posted by mulli84 View PostBy the way, I finished my third service a day ago. The only expense was chain lubing and some minor clutch adjustment. I forgot to mention about adjusting the rear suspension. Can the 150`s suspension be adjusted?
On the other hand, Im having a rather annoying problem with my bike. Its related to the front disc noise. When riding with the engine at low rpms, or the clutch pulled in (at any gear or speed) I can hear a shshshshshsh noise of the front disc. I showed it to the SVC n they say its normal. But it degrades the whole riding experince that noise. And its really loud. I dont see pulsar's, apaches or yamaha's making this noise. This shshs noice is apart from the squeaking noise that comes on the application of the front brake.

guys, lets get over the argument of what Honda SHOULD have/SHOULDNT have given on the bike. Its been discussed several times already ! All of us here are owners, and all of us know that the CBR's capabilities more than make up for some of the unprovided things. At the end of the day, if someone wanted all of those things really badly, they would have got another bike. We all here own this bike and hence we were ready to compromise right from the beginning !
End Rant.
Just my view.Last edited by Lenov; 02-04-2013, 12:46 PM.

Hello everyone!
I took a test ride of the R15 and found it very uncomfortable. My wrists started to pain only after five minutes of riding. Probably it is a matter of just getting used to it, but if this pain doesn't go? So I am not sure about buying the R15. Then I thought about the CBR 150R. I have a couple of questions regarding the bike:
1) Is the riding posture comfortable? Any wrist pain or back ache?
2) Is the torque manageable in city traffic?
3) Is the fairing, a problem in heavy traffic?
4) What about the maintenance of the bike? Is it too heavy on the pocket? Can you please give the details of maintenance and cost of spare parts?
5) If I service it regularly and do not abuse it, will it last for at least six years? I am a college student and I cannot afford to change my bike on a frequent basis and so I need something that would last long.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!

Our's having one R15 v2, 200NS, CBR150R !! ( 3 bikes @ home for our three brothers)
& I have been riding all of these bikes.
the smoothest is Honda
the cornering legend is yamaha (sports bike) & more powerful than baby blade !
& the powerful bike is Bajaj
We are stunt maniacs. & don't tell to me your bull****
first ride all of those bikes, then make statements, right?
because of user-friendliness I have been using Bajaj. Even I don't like its sound
& irritating vibrations !
test drive a 200ns in city.
Sound of Honda is my favorite. I have been using Honda for long rides
but in power, its pathetic
I wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!
So I can red line my bike all the time

comfortable than R15
but not a good bike for commuting
2) Is the torque manageable in city traffic?
No. test drive it. It will tell you every thing. You have to give more throttle than any normal commuting bike
3) Is the fairing, a problem in heavy traffic?
A full fairing bike is not for city usage. In my experience CBR is more manageable than R15
4) What about the maintenance of the bike? Is it too heavy on the pocket? Can you please give the details of maintenance and cost of spare parts?
Spare parts are unavailable in Kerala. I don't know about you locale. obviously its expensive than a normal bike
5) If I service it regularly and do not abuse it, will it last for at least six years? I am a college student and I cannot afford to change my bike on a frequent basis and so I need something that would last long.
No doubt. you didn't have to change your bike for the next decade
that's the legendary "HONDA"

That should probably be just dust accumulated between the pads.Originally posted by Lenov View PostOn the other hand, Im having a rather annoying problem with my bike. Try washing it with pressure water., pointing the water jet between the pads. If it does not get solved, check with the ASC and ask them to clean the pads.

Be cautious. You could attract an infringement.
Talking about being engaged in road racing is prohibited in forum.
Both R15 and 150R gives both back and wrist pains or either to most riders as most ones getting these bikes are new to such stance of riding. It will go away as you get used to it.Originally posted by anishbora View PostHello everyone!

Regarding your specific questions...
Here are my elaborate answers.
1. Just one word., Absolutely!!!
I have ridden it for even a complete day and also have been a pillion for ~200kms on a continious ride. So., both the seats., its pleasure!
2. Yes, under one condition >> Keeping the revvs above a min 8K.
When riding alone., you can manage it as the engine 'll be at 8K mark within a matter of seconds., but with a pillion on., i have to admit., it struggles.
However, this low torque gives you another problem. Downshifting. You have to do it a lotta times within city traffic. But, I feel the fun is in that, and if you are okay with redlining, the tall gears are a boon to play with
3. No.
I have never felt the fairing a problem. The bike is super flickable and it manages to slice through traffic.
4. 8K on odo and never have faced any problem with the bike.
My bro broke the hi-lo switch and I got it replaced, at quite normal rate.
Although, the Honda SVC., they are a pain in the a**!!! You can fasten the process of acquiring spares through sending a mail to Honda.
5. Though the build quality, comparatively, is on the poor side., lasts long.
After all., its Honda's product reliability is what the brand gives us.
Be sure to TD it. It'll tell you everything you want to know. The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Never make comments like this buddy, cmmon be mature,by making comments like these you are not only insulting brand xbhp here but also killing all the enthusiasm of the bikers here.Next time be careful and coming to p200ns its actually a bang for its buck and gives so many features which a cbr150 doesn't have and above all its from a different segment. All bikes are good in their own ways,so let it be like that and don't mix up everything.Ride safely, take care.Originally posted by B2WNo need drive your auto rickshaw sound 200ns.even it have 25hp it can't prove its power in front of my killer.in cbr once you cross 7 rpm you can feel its powerband.i think next gen bajaj have 5 spark plugs...Nothing compares with the simple pleasure of a bike ride. -John F. The dust between the pads makes a screetching sound on the application of the brake, that is something that is bound to happen in dusty areas. This isnt that. Its a continuous sound. Its like the pads are touching the disc but maybe a bit more than required. Have been to the SVC twice. First time pads were cleaned and put back, but the sound came back after a day. 2nd time they just said it happens in all CBR's. The showed me another 150, which did have the sound, but much less.Originally posted by neevarp16 View PostThat should probably be just dust accumulated between the pads.

Replies in BOLD. You can however wait for the naked version of Babiest CBR, CB150 - Streetfire. Same features but naked bike, so better in city.Originally posted by anishbora View PostHello everyone!
1) Is the riding posture comfortable? Any wrist pain or back ache?
A: Its better than R15 V2 for starters. Its a not so aggressive posture, somewhere midway between extreme sports and upright. You'll get used to it, trust me.
2) Is the torque manageable in city traffic?
A: CBR is a high reving bike. It isn't meant to give neck breaking acceleration. All that juice is upwards of 7K RPM and post 8K on RPM its like a teenager, high on testosterone. You need to keep the engine at its best - keep it revving and its not an issue. The engine is built for this, so don't worry. I also want to believe that you won't be going for the signal-to-signal racing. For such normal rides, I believe its quite ok.
3) Is the fairing, a problem in heavy traffic?
A: In a way YES and NO. See, a faired bike needs a bit of extra care when riding in city. You may be doing good, but you never know some idiot or the other might pop up or change the lane suddenly. Also, once you get more accustomed to the bike, you will know how to ride it in city.
4) What about the maintenance of the bike? Is it too heavy on the pocket? Can you please give the details of maintenance and cost of spare parts?
A: No idea about this. I don't own a CBR, but can give general information. Owners can post their servicing costs out here.
5) If I service it regularly and do not abuse it, will it last for at least six years? I am a college student and I cannot afford to change my bike on a frequent basis and so I need something that would last long.
A: Ok, the basic things out here is, ride safe, be careful, read the road, understand the bike - brakes, tyres, engine, ergonomics etc. Biking goes step by step mate. Its a continuous learning process, the more you learn, the lesser mistakes you commit. Even a Chinese bike will last long(if built properly in the first place) if you service it regularly and don't abuse it. Read the MANUAL of the bike very carefully. Its the BIBLE. For regular queries, you are always welcome to post in here. We have got a few good lads out here, ready to help you.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!
