Riding position of CBR's are both relaxed than R15 . You will feel more easier in Honda while commuting .....

I had a test ride on my friends honda cbr 150cc... the riding position is intelligent.... it is very comfortable for communting as well as racing... does very well in corners as well... so I would says it would suit commuters, racers and tourers.

What about suspensions and tires. does the bike give you good feedback from road. About brakes, are they sharp or spongy?

Brakes are how can say..depends how to press the brake...man.. i would say very responsive or sharp brakes... progressive braking is good when you apply partial brakes.....

Yes brother, but i think what you did is what everyone does in their bikes, twisties around the city, cornering,& stuff, but when you mention it as for racing, it's a different ball game altogether & mind that ur comparing a Delta Box Perimeter of a race derived machine to a Perimeter frame that has been generally been categorized as tourer or will be in any form depending on the capabilities. No offence to CBR owners here though, a better product in terms of all round capabilities from any manufacturer will always be invited by me & other enthusiasts. Maybe, i'll wait for a word from a experienced track day junkie about the track capabilities.

P.S. I love the Deltabox frame in the R15 & not the bike & also i've ridden extensively a 135 2 Stroke mounted on a R15 chasis. So, pls. Spare me from slitting my throat for the comparison, fan boys & owners.

                      • hey guys, just sharing my point of view on the cbr150r

have been riding my ZMA for well over 5 years and was eagerly waiting for the new baby cbr to launch, as i almost made my mind to go for the r15 v2.0 as i didnt like the cbr250r, but when i heard the news of the new cbr coming i held myself back from putting the money on the table

saw the red/white combo at a local dealer few days back a well was disappointed to say the least
-at my city the 150r costs at Rs. 1,34,000 on road while the r15 is 10k cheaper
-the quality of bits and pieces like switchgear, foot pegs and the black finish on the clipons, engine cover, front shock absorbers are pathetic for a bike priced this much
-although didnt get a opportunity to test ride but a torque of 13Nm!!!!!!!!
-did you guys notice the yawning gap between the rear tire and the mudguard?? its so un proportional
-and with few graphics they call the variant "deluxe"

correct me if i am wrong on the above points

although the size of the 150r is bigger and the riding position is also bit relaxed, i somehow find it very difficult to put 1.34 lacs on the table for it

if yamaha can provide a quality product at 1.24lacs i cant find a reason why honda cant provide the same at 1.34lacs??
i am growing old, but not up!

                          - 150R comes with a perimeter frame which is basically the same as the one on R15 & the 200ns.

delta box is only the name given by yammie for it's perimeter frames

Actuallty DK, the frame of the CBR150R looks like a Permieter frame but beneath the full fairing are "downtubes" that hold the "engine as a stressed member". Therefore the frame of the CBR150R is actually a Diamond frame.

Even the official India website for CBR150R mentions that it has a Diamond Frame.

                            That is correct.

"Perimeter/Twin Spar/Beam" are different names used for the same type of frame. Yamaha calls it Deltabox.

Currently only the Yamaha R15 and the Pulsar 200NS have Perimeter Frame in India.

That's why i mentioned earlier as twin spar..So, Payeng, you mean to say is this an added advantage or added weight which eventually comes to "All Show & No Go"?
