Re: Honda CBR 150 R
No noticeable increase in FE after spark plug change. But smoothness & responsiveness will surely increase.Originally posted by ayan115 View PostThanks for the suggestions bro.. Just wanted to know that whether spark plug is related to mileage anyhow???
Change air filter at 8-10k kms interval, you will get slightly better FE.Live To Ride✌

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
When i start the bike.. my rpm straightway goes to 2.. Is there any ways to reduce it below 1.5 so that i can gain a slight better mileage??Originally posted by bala13 View PostMy CBR150 gives 40kmpl in city
On highways it gives 45 kmpl at 100kmph & 40kmpl at 130kmph.
Once i got 47kmpl on highway at 70-80kmph.

Honda CBR 150 R
Hello Guys! New to xBhp, I own a cbr 150r since 2012. I recently changed my bike tires to Michelin Pilot sporty Front100/80/17
Rear 140/70/17, after upsizing i feel the pickup is better and also the cornering angle has improved. However i think the rear shockups has been effected.. the tail lights rubber end up breaking sooner also recently the back fibre which holds the number plate broke and started hanging.. noticed the steel rod which was supporting the fibre was been rusted. I feel it broke because of the rust, however wanted to know if anyone faced such a problem before. Also if anyone from Mumbai knows the best place for servicing.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Better not. Its the auto-choke. When a cold engine starts up it burns on a rich mixture. This results in around 2k rpm for some time. It will settle for normal after sometime. I guess it should not happen & your bike should start at normal rpm if the engine is at operating temperature.Originally posted by ayan115 View PostThen should i go to the service centre & ask them for help??

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
You dont even need to leave the bike idle. You can use your bike normally. I would usually keep away from sudden acceleration and high rpm ride till the temperature bar rises to the normal operating temperature. After that you can do what you want. This is not related to the choke but just to make sure that after a cold start the engine oil reaches the hard to reach parts within the engine and also that the coolant rises to the optimum temp. You can ignore the initial high rpm completely.Originally posted by ayan115 View PostThanks for the suggestion.. yes it happens... just asking how long should i leave the bike idle for choke??

Tank Pad suggestions
Hi
Can anyone suggest where I can get a good quality tank pad for the CBR 150R?
The bottom half of the tank needs some cover and I am not sure where to purchase a good quality one.
It gives a bad feeling to see scratches on the tank and I want to avoid further occurrences of these scratches.
If you feel I should be posting this question in a different manner, then please correct me. I could only find the "Reply to Thread" option to post my question on this forum.
Thank you
