What I know of is they need more maintenance than k$n, that is they tend to get dirty in less amount of time and kms and hence a burden. Dontbknow about price comparison as per k&n.

Dear Chennaites, I am thinking of giving my CBR 150R for service to KSN Honda Ekatuthangal only because it is very close to my office. Any one having experience with the service centre? Please let me know. I haven't seen the service centre yet.

                    Hi Friends,

Off late I have been facing problems with my brakes. The front pads were worn out. Had it replaced but still not having the same feel. The rear pads are fine but they don't give the same bite anymore. Wht cud be the possible reason?

                    Regards,

Hello everyone! I currently own an R15 V2, and have been using it for the past one year, although, i have only done around 3700 kms. Before getting this bike, i was a bit worried about the wrist and back pain. Everybody said, that i would be able to adapt to it, as kilometers pile on. It did get better with time, and i hardly used to feel any pain. I use the bike, mainly for commuting to my college. The route to my college, is a mix of freeway, and city traffic. Since the past couple of months, a long stretch of the route has become very chaotic, due to the construction of a flyover. The traffic is stop-and-go, and is very very slow. I can hardly shift to the second gear. Due to this, i am having a lot of back, and wrist pain. Therefore, was seriously thinking of selling the R15, and getting the CBR150R. Before booking the R15, i did take a test ride of the CBR, Went with the R15, mainly because of the more usable low and mid-range torque.

Before deciding further, i wanted to clear some of the doubts.

                      1) Is the low-end of the CBR, too sluggish? Do i always need to stay in first gear, in moderate traffic conditions?

                      2) At what RPMs, do i need to shift, to the second, third, and fourth gears, so that i don't end up lugging the engine?

                      3) As the engine is so free and high revving, will it be as durable as the R15's engine (considering the amount of stress, the components are exposed to)? I know that it is a Honda, and that the engineers there, are no fools, but blown seals and broken connecting rods, are common to high revving engines. Anybody here, who has had to replace the engine head gaskets, or oil seals? Anybody here, who has covered more than 20k kms?

                      4) Are the spare parts of the CBR, much more expensive than the R15?

Has anybody here, switched from an R15, to the CBR?

                      Please help!

                      Thanks in advance!

I think the Honda CBR can sustain it's revs pretty easily considering it has a radiator like the R15. Don't expect any high rev probs. just check radiator hose connectors at regular intervals... And if you're a particularly high revving customer then I suggest putting 2 steel ring clips to hose pipes and check it more often.

Make sure u use good engine oil n everything should be fine. No particular problems due to revving high... Except it's consequence which probably is the same in a Yami or a Honda.

Last question: what when the rd construction is done... ?

                        Cheers.

Been scouring the Net for good pics of the gear shifter on the cbr150r. (now I can't imagine why there aren't any) but I didn't get what I was looking for. Can anyone help me out by taking a pic of their bike's shifter lever and post it here. If anyone's wondering, I crashed my bike last week (read that as I hit a dog, flew off the bike, crashed onto the road and cracked my shoulder) and along with scratched panels the only other thing wrong with the bike was a dislodged gear shifter lever. (maybe I should write a thankyou note to Honda). I tried the showroom here, but they had the 250 only and it seems the shifter mechanism differs. So, yeah. :-) help would be immensely appreciated.

Hello everyone, I recently joined this forum. I'm reeeeeeeeally sad with my bike. I bought my CBR 150r on 11th April 2014. This is my first bike and the bike on which i learnt to ride properly. I didn't know anything about break in period of bikes. I did what i was told. The showroom guys, on the day of getting the bike, told me to not ride above 50kmph till first service. I never went above 50 but i changed gears too early. I up shifted at 4000RPM in each gear. And shifted all the way to 6th gear maintaining 50kmph speed. Now after first service(May 10th), slowly my bike started getting engine vibrations. Anyone who rode my bike told me that my bike was in very bad condition. Every time i hear that, I feel like everything's over. I started reaching 70kmph but shifted gear too early. Now my bike is in verrrrry bad condition, even after taking care of it(I know i shouldn't have shifted gears early and i should have ridden little more faster. But i was just taking care of it.). Now i don't know what to do. When i ride my bike i feel vibrations(very bad) on my fist and gear shifting is rough(Realized that after riding my friends r15). Yesterday my friend rode my bike and told me its really bad. What can i do to get my smooth engine back? Is there anything that can be done? Is my bike a complete waste now? Please help me! I need my new smooth bike back. Second service is on 8th August 2014. Help me pleasse.
