There soon will be 4 bikes with the very same 130/70 R17 rear tire size on sale in India.

        Ninja 250R
        R15 V 2.0
        CBR150R
        Pulsar 200NS

Good news for owners of all 4 bikes I would say
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

            * for the info as my first 750 km i kept engine running at less than 5000 rpm... i got >50kmpl and less than 52.. kmpl.. its cool for my pocket.too
            Mileage checked on R15 V 2.0 in doubles .

            1. Riding at 5 k RPM it delivers a descent mileage of 40 km/liter .

            2. Riding at 6 k RPM - 7 k RPM it delivers a descent mileage of 37 km/liter .

            3. Riding at 7.5 k RPM and above it delivers a mileage of 32 - 35 km/liter . [ Dint check the Mileage on the Highway ] [ Rider weight 75 Kilos and Pillion weight 81 Kilos , Total = 156 Kilos ]

            Coming to your point -

You say you got 50 kmpl .. I really appreciate it . The mileage figures is in singles or doubles ?
And you say you touched 126 km/hr in the speedo ... I have one doubt - Even after you rode at these speeds , did you got 50km/liter ?

Anyways , congrats on your new Baby CBR .. Ride safe .

as i said i have only reached once 126.. and no one expects it to give 50 kmpl when ur riding at 126!!..
next.. all bikes give max mileage at normal rpms only..
and this mileage given above is on singles only.. till date i never let any of my friend to become pilion...
The average is given as full tank to reserve...(3.5 lt) according to owners manual...

Congrats on your new bike.. Black and white looks much better in real than those pics on net.

Regarding mileage, you mean to say that you checked full tank to one bar in fuel gauge (considering reserve as 3.5 lts). This is not accurate. Please do a tank full to tank full method to calculate most accurate mileage.

                  Cheers,

or you can do 1 thing, fill the tank upto the brim, ride certain number of kilometers say about 100. Fill the tank upto the brim again and check the amount of fuel filled. Divide it by 100, you get the mileage.
You could try this out with more kms

                      Good observation there.. Nice

The R15 V 2.0's got a MRF Radial at the rear.. therefore seems to be the most interesting option.

                            yawn...

some one who is buying a 1.25 lakh bike... may not be that bothered about FE.

And at this price Duke 200 makes a much better bike and proposition.

I am still to see the motorcycle in flesh; however, I believe cbr150r is still a pretty worthy package for its money while offering few very important advantages over the mighty R15.

Advantages of CBR150R over R15 that I have noticed so far:
-- CBR has more comfortable pillion seat. This is the most visible advantage over the R15. A better choice for anyone who is only going to have a single motorcycle in his garage!

-- The rear number plate holder/mud flap/mud guard is designed in a better way so that there's no need for a separate tyre hugger like in R15. This maintains the sporty looks of the motorcycle. In R15, the rear tyre hugger has to be removed to appreciate its full sporty looks.

-- A more relaxed riding position for the rider. Would work better in long distance travelling.

-- The CBR's front looks are better than R15. This is purely my opinion.

-- Fuel efficiency reported so far seems pretty pocket friendly for a motorcycle like CBR.

                                -- CBR has a more powerful headlight with 55W against R15's 35W.

..performance is yet to be explored completely but it should be pretty competitive to R15. However, I am expecting a better performance at the top end from the CBR150R since it revs higher than the R15 and has a dohc engine architecture.

As far as I am concerned, I would be mightily confused between CBR and R15. However, the CBR has certain advantages over R15 that shall make day to day riding a bit easier affair. But I am really happy that now we have two extremely well matched, beautiful and aggressive motorcycles in 150cc segment to choose from.

@Inflammable: I will probably go for the CBR even at this price point
