Idle rpm doesn't change anything except ur idle engine speed that's why it's named idle speed.
It might be some other factor

Does anyone here have a picture anywhere of what the NS200 diaphragm looks like when seated properly? Mine seems a tad oversize and can't be fit back properly. Worried it's causing vaacum leaks that have been a constant pain especially post 7k rpm.

Bajaj parts are among the easiest to get hold of and pocket friendly too. Glad my D200 shares some bits n pieces off the pulsar range. ktm specific parts are almost impossible to find outside the svc.

PS: the price is still Rs.5 i believe (did you see the mrp on the packing?)

    True that.
I did see that the packet was KTM branded but that's 1 cup of tea worth which anyways office cafeteria gives for free. [emoji28]
I'll take it as Rs. 5 for O ring and Rs. 5 for labour. Can I fire shots at competitors for being this affordable? [emoji16][emoji16]

So the NS was shown at a Bajaj SVC and the mechanic confirmed that it was gone O ring seal. Replaced it with a new one since it was kinda 6 years old. Lost a little oil which was topped up since we had the second can of Motul 5100.
    Total cost - Rs. 10
I love Bajaj even more considering that all this was done and no labour charge was taken.
Spares are so easy and cheap to procure.

    First service done.
    Oil & oil filter changed.
Engine noise and break pad noise reduced.
Svc told me that they have fixed tappet.

When i rode the bike there was no noise. After 5kms noise started again but is a little less compared to before.
SVC guy told it is ok & i should ride for 2 - 3 days and see if noise persists.
I told him i am not comfortable as engine might get spoilt.
He said nothing will have happen.

Will tappet noise affect the engine? So many of you have been through this. Any suggestions?

    Mekhri circle SVC, bangalore.

Also, you guys know any trusted or good SVC in bangalore that are reliable? These guys are so casual i don't think they really care about our bikes.
    Very pissing off.

I hope this can be done without removing all the oil. I have the remaining 800mL of Motul 5100 which can be used for top up.

If you are unable to get an O ring, go to a local mechanic and use the anabond gasket sealant on the existing O ring and that should seal it up with no issues.
Can't say more without actually checking out the bike more closely. other places where seals can fail are the clutch case gasket etc..

I myself just picked up a ns200 oil filter to use on my duke (same filters), but was unable to get that O ring from the local shop. Have to head to the svc to see if they will part with an O ring

I've grounded the NS because of this mysterious oil leak.
